Minifig-scale cars

Recommended Posts

Hello, this is my first post here! I just became a Lego fan about 1 year ago.

Below are some pictures of my Lego cars, whose main philosphy is:

1- be 6-stud wide

2- seat at least 2 minifigs side by side

3- have everything opening: doors, trunk, hood

4-trunk should be big enough to contain at least one 1x2 brick

5- realistic styling that resembles actual production vehicles

I'll only post a few per post, so come back for more after a few days! I have some 14 cars worth posting here.

More to come!

I like the growing skill and level of your crafts. The only wish is to reduce the height of the machines a little to approximate the vehicles mini-figures.

Yes, that was my idea too, but it's not easy to achieve. The smaller wheels are too small. There is one perfect size wheel for these cars, but they are thick pin wheels, would require different axle holder. Inside the car the minifigs look perfectly proportionate.

I've updated the white fastback of the last post, I've reduced it's height, I'll post later

I lowered the white Citroen CX fastback and changed its headlights

Yellow notchback with new lowered front, I found it very stylish! And the hood still opens

screenshot_357.png

I copied this front in the small blue hatchback, it didn't look bad either

That's quite a collection you built there.

Next you'll need an assembly line and parking lot to stall them all.

Prototype of a larger-scale white sedan with full-opening features, my first foray into larger scale. This model is 10 studs wide.

I don't know, I was just trying to do something "large scale" with whatever parts I had, I suppose it turned out to be a large American-style 70's sedan

I increased its height by one plate and the rear by two plates, and made a better roof for this 10-wide 30-long white family four-door all-opening sedan/salloon car "vinyl roof" style:

and I changed the rear optic mask as well, with a two-wide verticalized bumper:

Tinkering with the front of the new 10-wide family sedan

Quite complex SNOT there

I didn't hate this front mask either:

But I'm not happy with any of the fronts, I guess I'm coming back to the original
