MaceWindu Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Hey, everyone! Several years ago having bought this small set I started thinking of creating a scene based on this episode. I love Gollum and making his home was a pleasure for me!) Firstly, I wanted to concentrate on the rocks above the lake but then I decided that theunderwater world of Middle-earth is far cooler) Other photos can be found here. Thank you for your attention. KlodsBrik Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Cool build and some nice techniques. I have been thinking of making something similar for a long time. ( The "floating" water / ice technique ), but never did it as transparent pieces are a pita to work with, making it look real. Now I need to have a new go at it. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Gorgeous diorama ...the ice effect is simply amazing! Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Great scene! The water effect is cool. Is it attached in any way to the rock pillars? Quote
MaceWindu Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 Thank you all for comments! On 04.02.2017 at 11:34 PM, Leonardo da Bricki said: Is it attached in any way to the rock pillars? Yes, the transparent bricks hold basically because of these bricks. Quote
