Heckz repeats. It was clear that he despised vermin as he was swinging his dagger like a madman.

OoC: Very sorry for the absence. Last time I checked on Sunday nothing happened, and yesterday (Monday) I was incredibly busy.

Annienal, having successfully cast her spell, gets in front of the group with her shield at the ready.

"I can, um, take most of their attacks. Continue to put me first in the battle order, Althior."

Annienal strikes Firefly D from the front row.

OoC: Using the Boon Rod I think I should have reclaimed 22 HP at the expense of one more Ether. Also, equipping the Warlords Helmet should have given me +6 SP and Encouragment through my healing. Again I apologize for my extremely complicated build

Althior substitues his Medal of Glory in place of Coat Hanger/Robe of the Seneschal, then uses Wind from the back row on Battle Ant E.

Repeat Battle Order.

Althior scowls as he makes his way to the inn, leaving two fire bombs for everyone besides himself. "That's the second time I've saved your megablocks now," he mutters to no one in particular.

Annienal took her bombs, careful not to drop them. She looked at Althior dismayed as he headed for the inn. She took a moment to check to see if the inn had any signage indicating a name. She wasn't sure why the party leader was incredibly rude, especially after she managed to take most of the damage taken by the team. Looking herself over, she noticed scorch marks on her armour. She'd have to remedy that when she got inside.

While looking over her armour, she noticed Darksten on the ground still. She moved over to him and lent an arm out to him, raising her visor in the process.

"I need my beauty sleep."

Heckz follows Althior into the Inn. He seems annoyed after the prophet's little comment about 'having saved them'.

"I don't know what you are talking about, Mister Your Outfit Is Horrendous. I practically saved the day on my own whilst courageously soaking up most of the damage that was headed our way."

Darksten awoke flat on his back with one hell of a headache. "Dam" he muttered. He wasn't sure, but he prayed he hadn't been out long.

As the knight came over, his first instinct was to try and get up on his own. However, he soon realized his balance was still off so he had to grab her offered arm to stand. Locking eyes, the assassin gave a quick nod before moving towards the inn in search of a place to rest.

The signage outside the Inn labels it as the Weeping Inn.

"Welcome," sniffles the morose barkeep. "Are you hoping to stay the night?" The Inn is conspicuously empty.

Annienal had never heard of such an establishment before. She made her way inside, finding the emptiness of the inn off-putting.

"Um... yes, we were hoping to stay the night." Annienal responds politely. "Is there any rooms available?"

"Yes, there are a lot of rooms," he mumbles. "Things have been very slow lately. At the beginning of the month trade between Bric'Lin and Eubric *sniffle* had really picked up. But now it's almost totally *sniffle* stopped. People are too *sniffle* afraid. I haven't had new customers in a whole week."

As Darksten entered the inn, he recognized the sign and recalled the last time he was here... or at least the parts his mind hadn't blocked out...

Approaching the barkeep as he engages the knight, the assassin also speaks up.

"Well, we would be interested in hearing your price Sir, and if you have a drink list, that would be good too"

As the heroes waited for the barkeep to bring the menus, Darksten's mind continues to race. He had been embarrassed in front of the group, and the young upstart seemed to have sensed it. He hoped to find a way to redeem himself, or at least distract everyone from what had happened. Then he had an idea...

With just a hint of a smile he turns to the knight and says... "Allow me to buy you a drink"

"Oh, well, um, I'd appreciate it, thanks. Although I didn't really get hurt, the ants' attacks still made it a little toasty in my armour." Annienal responds, taking her helmet off and wiping some sweat from her brow. She gives Darksten a surprised, but appreciative grin. She wasn't really used to this kind of behaviour from others. The only man she could think of doing something like this was Warlen, and it had been months since she had seen him last. "I'm, um, more of a cider person myself, but I doubt this establishment carries casks of the kind I prefer, so whatever's fine."

"I know times are rough, boo, but I'll have you know I'm a well-established member of the Sungold Alliance. I'll be taking the most luxurious room for free, of course."

He 'smiles'.

"And, don't overdo it with the makeup. It's making me cry as well.[/I]
