The tale begins thusly, pray forgive my long prattle
From Eubric did come great warriors of battle

Our heroes did wander to the edges of town
The mission their focus as a light snow fell down

Off to the Mopags over streets which did glisten
When past some bell ringers each paused for a listen

"A merry Grogmas to you heroes! What takes you about on this cold dreary day?"

"Perhaps you could spare some fine coin during this merriest of seasons to aid the poor of Eubric?"

Otherwise, I hope to to update this quest rather attentively as we've had a rash of too many quests of late treating the 24hr rule as the usual rather than the minimum.

Vindsval Drops 10 coins into the coffer.  He raises a hand in greeting.

We are well met.  Merry Grogmas and the Blessings of the Wanderer upon you and yours.  We come from the hall in search of one who called us, a Master Teddy Lessig.  Could either of you direct us to him?

Stats look good.  Without the total weapon power in there the power bonus would probably be listed as +8 (+6 from armor +2 from Henry Awards)  Thanks for choosing Vindsval, I am looking forward to a good Holiday quest.

A Journey is always worth the time it takes to complete.  And I will take any weather over our recent storms.  I admit I have never been to the settlement.  How far distant is our destination?

Vindsval accepts the offered gift, surprised and pleased by the pair's generosity.

You humble me with your gift.  Many Thanks.

Vindsval slides a sharp black fingernail under the edge of the wrapping and Gently opens the small present.

"Only a few days journey from here. The settlement lies beyond R'kilf."

You mentioned danger upon the road, do you have news of specific trouble?

"Greetings everyone and marry Grogmas to you all!"

Thalion hands 50 gold coins, "I hope this can be of help to the ones who need it..." he says with a soft voice.

OOC: The stats look good.

"It will indeed good sir! It seems as late that only the Wolfgang and their ilk care for the poor of the hovels, it is good to know there are others. Please take this."

Vindsval nods to Mathias and the newly arrived Thalion.  Well Met Gentlemen, Mathias, you I know, but this other is new to me.  He extends a large green hand to Thalion.  I am Vindsval, called the Half Born, First Paladin of my lord The Wanderer.

I arrive on the scene after the others.

"I believe I forgot what it was like to leave the hall. It's been quite a while of just sitting around there. Dull!"

I look in distaste down at the Grumpkin at first, but quickly remember where I had just come from and my manner changes.

"Raising for the poor of Eubric! That is a cause that I never fail to give to."

I hand over 65 gold.

"I wish them a merry Grogmas then and hope this can go some way in relieving their suffering at least for a little while. The Wolfkin is rising and when he does the poor of the hovels will rise with him. Until then, may this donation help them in some way."

I desperately hope the other heroes hadn't heard my Wolfgang spiel.

I made some marketplace purchases and have already edited the stats on my Statistics.
Also, I still am not entirely sure what "copying another classes ability" is? Is it their job trait or battle style?

Matthias opens the present and listens to small talk about bandits and blizzards, watching the other heroes offer increasing amounts of gold as he wonders when Calmcacil would arrive. He addresses the grumpkin once again. "Are you two members of a philanthropic organization? What will you do with the coin?"

QM Note: The intention is to copy a job trait, it will not however replace a battle style, so while you may copy a mage's "Spellcasting" without ether you really can't cast any spells.

"Thank you kind sir. Yes, while the Wolfgang's methods have been brusk their results have certainly been effective. Here have one of these."

Matthias opens the present and listens to small talk about bandits and blizzards, watching the other heroes offer increasing amounts of gold as he wonders when Calmcacil would arrive. He addresses the grumpkin once again. "Are you two members of a philanthropic organization? What will you do with the coin?"

"Well, I am a representative of the Eubric Embassy, but make it my business to keep my eye on the undergoings involving the hovels as many of Eubric's newest arrivals sadly end up there. And Plud here is employed by the Cathedral of Commerce, but was raised in the Hovels, so he assists me in my charity work there."

"The coin, will go toward buying food for the bread lines, you'd be surprised how much a good meal can raise spirits."

QM Note: I'll give Chromeknight another 12hrs and then we'll get going, proper.

"You know, we the Wolfkin's followers also have bread lines, soup kitchens, if you will. We try to feed whom we can, but there's almost always more than we can handle. Nevertheless, you're always welcome to have a look at one of ours. Though, perhaps you have already seen them at work. It's good to see that others are concerned about Eubric's poor as well. As for your concerns about the Wolfgang, you should lay them at rest. The organization is being cleaned up daily. I have personally made it my business to do so and to help the Wolfkin himself see the need for such a cleanup. You really should stop by some day to see the work we're doing for the poor. You may be surprised at how tamed the Wolves have become. You really should come and see for yourself. I'm sure the Wolfkin will be more than happy to support your organization in any way he can if you will just inform him that you too are working for the people of Eubric."

Ugh, these are the sorts of people who we're trying to rescue! They're probably better off remaining in the hovels.

I put on a kindly face as he hands me the gift.

Vindsval looks quizzically at the brown robed figure.

You are kin to the Wolf and would feed the poor of this city to their gang?    Do you speak of one of the three waring factions that have begun to form amongst the ruling classes and criminal element of the Freeport?

"It will indeed good sir! It seems as late that only the Wolfgang and their ilk care for the poor of the hovels, it is good to know there are others. Please take this."

"Thank you! I know of what you speak and would be glad to help in any way I can. Tell me, how is you work here going? Is there anything else I can be of assistance with, while I am here?"

Thalion shakes Vindsval's hand, "Well met Vindsval! It is very reassuring to be traveling with someone who took the noble calling of the paladin. My name is Thalion Dwinlas, a mystic knight."

OOC: I apologize to everyone but the power unit on my computer died and the service said it will be replaced after the new year's holidays (it couldn't be done today because they had to order the part from the vendor). :sceptic:I will be keeping up as best I can (which will be at least once a day) until I get my machine back; I am here, just for the next few days I will have sporadic internet access.

"I hardly expect you to understand these things, but I can't help but laugh at your words. If all greenskins share your mind, the Paladins of Ennoc have nothing to fear."

And I hardly expect a civil response from a shriveled old yellowskin.  Your minds, I have found are often all too alike.  These Paladins you speak of.  I have heard many tales of their so called might.  I have also heard they are far from the power they once were.  A weakened order serving soft southern gods.  It leaves few to wonder why MY GOD called me to take up that Mantle.  Allow me to tell you to whom you speak.  I am Vindsval, called the Half-Born, First Paladin of the Wanderer.

Nerwen caught up with the party and dropped 10g into the collection cup.

I'm sorry I'm late. Johero asked for help with Grogmas preparations at the shrine.

Stats will require updating, will sort that as soon as I'm back with the laptop rather than mobile phone.

"That is good to know, I'm familiar with the Wolfgang's work and have seen it first hand. It is good to know that such progress is being made within the organization, but I fear the Wolf King will need to win more than just the hears to the people in the Hovels if he wishes to better this city."

"The work is slow and costly, but most things that are worth doing tend to be. I think for the time being we are good, but thank you for the offer."

With the Party assembled would they now head for Mopag?

"Civil? You just accused me of wanting the feed the poor of Eubric to a Wolf. Do you expect a serious answer to the silliest of questions. If you really thought I was that evil anyway, would you expect me to answer truthfully? Perhaps you should learn manners first before expecting that you deserve the respect of others."

I turn away from Vindsval and nod to our party leader as she approaches.

"I suppose we should be off then."

It has been my experience that those who claim kinship with The Wolf, seldom have the safety of the people in their hearts.  Though, I admit I have little dealings with the politics outside of the hall.  I have spent the large majority of my life outside of political and governing circles.  Perhaps your Southern wolf is of a different skin?

Now that we are all here I agree we should depart.  We have a long journey before us to reach the Mopag.
