Maxim I Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) So the weekend of November 12 and 13, Brickmania Antwerp took place in well erm Antwerp (Belgium). It is the biggest event in Belgium, so I always want to do something extra for this event. One year ago, I had the idea to organise a 100m² Pirate Lay-out. I started advertising over here and some people were interested joining my lay-out. Half a year ago, I woke up, realising my appartment was around 100m² in size. So in other words, I had to fill a lay-out the size of my appartment... Here is the participants list: Spoiler Antoine W. (BEL): Black Pearl & QAR Christian & Janet VDN. (NL): original Lego Sets David D. / Legostone (GER): multiple ships + Western Jaap B. / Jaapxaap (NL): small pirate fort Johan L. / Lieutenant J. Hornblower (BEL): warscene with over 1750 minifigs! Klaartje S (BEL). : Find Ally island Maarten S. More pictures: my Flickr Video by Tomsche Video by Christian - Some additional numbers: 64 ships and over 2000 minifigs!!! The tables were 10x10m - The lay-out will be licenced as royal commerce by the participants Edited November 21, 2016 by Maxim I

SilentWolf Posted November 23, 2016 This is a great display. Congratulations on coordinating and pulling off such a large display that does the Pirate theme proud. Ithe took me a while to get through all the pictures as I enjoyed looking at the details. It is great to see so many building styles coming together. Thank you for posting the pictures so those of us who couldn't come could enjoy.

Guest Matteo Posted November 24, 2016 Impressive!! On the 5th picture, counting from the end, it is visibile the stern of a ship built on (looks like) small white hull pieces, black and yellow finish. Is there any discussion dedicate to this moc?

Guest Matteo Posted November 25, 2016 Exactly! Absolutely great, I love ships built on prefab small hulls. Very difficult to make working a minifig illusion keeping an elegant shape.
