Tomik Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Since I recently got LEGO Technic set 42036 and didn't built anything out of Technic for a long time I've decided to rebuild this motorbike into vehicle with four wheels. It was bigger challenge than I expected. I had to use few uncommon asseblies: replace front wheels by gears with chain replace connector in crankshaft by liftarm replace pair of bevel gears by bunch of connectors - this solution was proposed by Victor Imaginator Finished dragster features just V4 fake engine with moving pistons. I planed to add steering but I didn't have enough parts for it. Quote

cadre Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Really nice build! Hard to believe this came from a motorcycle. Quote
Victor Imaginator Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Very cool C-Model. I should build two of them) Also, nice to see that solution inside) Quote
Samer Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Nice idea! especially your solution to the front wheels Quote
Kmuffin Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 That's a smart solution for the front wheels. Your c models are always the best Quote
Tomik Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 Thank you all for your comments. I'm happy you like my dragster. Quote
Chr.Maglekaer Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Cool! That reminds me of the B-Model from 8422 Circuit Shock Racer from 1995! http://brickset.com/sets/8422-1/Circuit-Shock-Racer Quote
letsbuild Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Ah, I can see your pictures now. Good job! it looks almost as though the set was a dragster, not a motorbike. Quote

Main difference between my dragster and dragster from set 8422 is that mine has seat in front of engine and dragster from 8422 has it behind engine. Quote
Chade Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Wow, thats a very impressive C model with very nice styling. I didn't think it was possible to change a motorbike into a dragster Quote
Tomik Posted December 31, 2016 Author Posted December 31, 2016 I've just released building instructions for this dragster. You can download them at buildinst. Quote
