Sir Glorfindel goes for a peaceful walk in the snow with his loyal husky.

Overview-1.jpg

Snowy landscapes are one of my favorite things to build, and they are something you don’t see all that often in the LEGO community. I made this MOC to serve as a tutorial for snow-scapes.

Hopefully it's helpful, and comments/suggestions for the build are welcome :classic:

Looks great, but sure makes me wish that I had some of those tooth/hanging snow parts (and more of those 2x6 curved and tapered bricks)! I especially like how the snow drift is hanging over the rocky face, as though it were wind sculpted.

Lovely build, SK! This is another piece of evidence that you are a real snowscape specialist, and as such, you are a worthy teacher! :classic::thumbup:

As Henjin mentioned, the snow hanging over the edge of the rocks is a great feature!

here, here! Snowman fully in action! lovely build as well as tutorial! I don't think I have a single white slope (might have a couple actually, but still..), but now I need what to do as soon as Laesonar gets North ^^

Thanks Henjin! The overhanging snow design is something I've only started doing fairly recently.

Thanks en_zoo, the plus side of snow scenes is that white pieces are generally pretty cheap :classic:

Looks very natural, and the posing it makes it feel vividly in motion.
Thanks for the tutorial on snow. :classic:

A very natural and realistic looking build, the violet colour of the tree breaks up the white and grey nicely! And I always enjoy reading the tutorials! A great little build and helpful tutorial

The tree was the last thing to be added, glad you like it :classic:

Great use of colour for the tree, I will have to try that at some point.  Excellent snow as usual!

Thanks BC, lavender and white look very nice together.

Another excellent snow-scape, Isaac  Great rockwork too, and the lavender tree, and gold flowers at the corners of the border add a nice touch of color.

This is a nice snow build as usual, SK!

The drifts are very realistic in appearance and very fitting for Mitgardia!  I like the inclusion of the minifigure and dog to give the scene a sense of scale and some well-placed activity.  I also enjoy snowy landscapes, though I have not tried my hand at building with snow much...

It is nice to see that Sir Glorfindel has apparel other than just his iconic armor!
