Review: 75155 Rebel U-Wing fighter

Recommended Posts

Today I was lucky enough to find the new U-Wing in the wild. The store had Krennic's Shuttle on the shelf, so I asked the clerk if they had the rest. He brought all the sets they had out for me and I got my pick of the litter! The U-Wing was #1 on my list, so I had to get it.

I published the review here on Brickipedia, I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks a lot for the early review, we never get enough coverage reviews outside of the UK and USA which brings a different view on the value of the sets.

Definitly picking this up soon!

I love the bottom window feature so the pilot can actually see the ground, as opposed to the FO transport (it's a different design for a different era I know). Fantastic set!

I seem to be the only person in the world not liking the look of the U-wing. It's bland, uninspiring and looks like a blocky mess. I on the other hand love the look of the TIE Striker although I admit it's overpriced it's the best looking set in this wave apart from Krennics shuttle.

The ship or the LEGO version?

The Lego version.

I wasn't too fond of it either based on pictures, I only bought it because I could snag it at a pretty good price at 20% discount, but I regret nothing. IRL it's pretty good looking. Yeah the lower part is kind of chunky, but based on LEGO priorities, it's probably the best they could come up with.

Fair enough I guess, I'm probably still going to pass on it. I put the last stretch of my budget on the Porsche and the Retro Batcave (both were 50 % off). :classic:

It was a total fluke, if I've had more money I would have bought even more but it was an unheard of bargain anyhow.
