[SR-FB1] Sep. '16 - Salt Marsh Cottage (Stormhaven)

Recommended Posts

After many years at sea, the Corrington privateer Captain Hansella finally amassed enough gold to comfortably retire. He had built a small cottage at the edge of the salt marshes near the hamlet of Stormhaven on the far off island of Serentia. There, he entered polite society again and could be frequently seen walking his dog Chewie amongst the tidal pools.

Of course, unfounded rumours always swirled around the former Master of the Epoch Falcon. Local fishermen whispered about how a single lantern was always set alight at his cottage on moonless nights, and that the occasional sighting of a black ship on those very nights was usually followed by an abundance of rum, tobacco, and other goods without custom stamps appearing in town soon after.

This is my reciprocal build for an arrangement I made with Mike S. way back in June. (Sorry for the long delay Mike.)

It will be licensed in Stormhaven as a small residence.

I really like the little house, even if it doesn't look like there's much room inside.

And nice touch with the new terrier.

Nice addition to Stormhaven! thumbup.gif I like how you built the boardwalk across the marsh. Hopefully soon I will build more of Stormhaven but first I need to get another entry built for the expedition up river so that we can discover some of the island's secrets.

Really cool hut, loving that roof design, and more so even the pathway over the marshes. Small, but very effective build default_classic.gifthumbup.gif

Keep it up!

Hansella and the Epoch Falcon! pir_laugh2.gif

Great build that I think really fits well in Stormhaven. I love the boardwalks, they are really well done! Great job!

Nice little house. It has character! I like the palm leaves over the porch, and the boardwalk and the salt marsh itself are nicely done. Good story to go with it as well.

Very nice build, Kwatchi, and great to see you building again! pirate_wink.gif The boardwalks, salt marshes (great use of that blue color!), and house are excellent, and the lantern and dog are great additions as well! ...And it's always good to see more smugglers around - there haven't been all that many in the Brick Seas yet, but they fit perfectly! - great story!

Very nice little pier/dock that youve made here! Also the house is well made, although I suspect thats a bit to small to fit only a bed, maby a small chest under. But anyways! I really like the overall look and the athmosphere,

Fair winds and calm seas!

Yours truly:

Captain Charles J. Becker

This is a great little cottage. It definitely matches Stormhaven and the swampsurrounding it. I like the usage of the palm branches over the door and the boardwalk is well done. I also like the inclusion of the new CMF dog.

I really like the little house, even if it doesn't look like there's much room inside.

It's not small; its cozy! :)

Thanks all. While the peeling wall paint did not come off as well as I liked, I am pretty happy with it. Frankly, matching Mike S' vision for Stormhaven was the toughest part.

And a cookie for Ayrlego for catching the movie reference. default_vader3.gif
