As Addok goes through the supplies from the box and distributed them out, the party arrives in to the dark parts of the forestpath just before reaching the plains outside Bric´lin. The forest looked even more dark and creapy then it usually did, morning sunlight tried to shine through the tree tops but the strange fog seen earlier had surrounded this place also. The party slows down the pace, the horses started to feel uneasy as the go.

Samantha trying to be brave but the others could see that she shivers a bit. She says,

"This place is kind a creepy." She strokes the horse's crest "Calm down boy, everything will be alright."

Albrun grips his sword

"Addok, you got that hand cannon of yours ready? Everybody else also, stay alert!"

But the heroes don´t get long before the journey comes to a sudden stop, just around the corner of the road the party runs into a real clutter of vermin... again.

But this time it was no ordinary smaller than your palm kind of spiders, no it was two big cave spiders devouring a horse and some pigs. The heroes could see a dreadful looking spider coming out from the forest, it had orange glowing fangs and legs.

The parties horses were terrified and John pulls out his sword from the sheath.

The vermin turn to face the disturbance, they were clearly upset that their supper had been interupted. But then again maybe the look on the spiders faces were delight over the newcomers, as the horse and the piggies had just been the starter and now the heroes were the main course.

With no preparations to make, Zanna dismounts her horse, prepared for battle once more.

"Now your speaking some sense." Boris chucks his Dirt Bomb from the back row. John hefts his sword and advances on the Carrion Beetle from the front row.

The heroes take a strong offensive right away against the vermin infestation. The lady swash buckler wounds the two gigantic cave spider with a couple swift strikes. John goes up against the charion beetle but misjudge the speed with what the clumsy looking bug acts and is forced to try blocking the charions horn with his shield.

Zanna severely cripples the fire spider and Boris and Addok cover with throwing out some bombs, that take out the weaker ones.

OoC: Sorry, I am really busy as of lately, I will just go along with your attack idea.

Addok-Zo shoots the Cavespider Youngling Mob B with his Handcannon from the Back Row.

Even that the fog makes it harder to see and act, the heroes are able to wound even further the eight legged freak show. Samantha continues to show off, cutting down the cave spiders with swift cunning hits and Zanna also fearlessly continues hacking down the dread spider, not giving hit a chance to advance. Addok shoots off a critical hit on one of the cavespider younglings, almost killing it.

It is just John and Boris that suffer some bad luck, John missing the beetle all together this time and Boris gets bitten by one of the small spiders.

QM: Because there seems to be no need for any major changes I will just repeat Zanna and Samanthas actions and battleorder also.

Samantha continues her acrobatic sword dance,  slicing and dicing the cave spiders. (3rd time in a row, just 1 and 2. I have to change dice )
The dread spider is about to burn Zanna but the tricky rogue hides herself behind some trees. John finally gets a strong, succesful attack on the beetle, striking with his sword right into one of the beetles soft spots. Addok-zo barely scratches one of the spiders with a aimed shot, making it angry and it shoots a cobweb on to Boris. Making the vampire stuck.

Further away up the road a crow flies to one of the trees near the pig farmer.

"Ah, my little spy. I bet you bring some good news."

"Caw caaaw" translates "Actually no, the heroes hired are making a mess out of your insects. They don´t stand a chance."

The farmers face turns red. "What! How is that possible, they were just a lame bunch of rogues. Not nearly the best what Heroica could had to offer. Seems I misjudged everything. Dammit."

He thinks for a bit.

"Looks like I have to do everything myself around here to get it right." He looks at the crow, "You, fly back and tell my brother to attack and apprehend the heroes immidiately after they have finished my precious insects."

"Aye aye"

"And tell him, to kill everybody that tries to resist."

The crow flies away from the place back towards the forest and down the road.

"It is going to get deadly around here." The farmer says, turning his pitchfork up to the sky and a blue flash go out around the man.

The farmer turns into a figure with black cloths and a gold staff. Then the figure turns the staff on the pigs and a other blue flash goes out. The pigs turn into a pack of big dire wolves.

He says to them.

"Go make sure everything runs smoothly."

The dire wolves growls and nod their heads and then they also runs of down the road, towards the heroes.

The heroes don´t know anything about what happend upp the road but they could here how wolves howled and how the howling got closer.

Samantha kills the other cavespider but her luck runs out and she doesn´t notice the cavespider youngling that has sneaked up on her. It blasts her with some web making her stuck to the ground. Zanna continues to hide. But John takes an defensive stance and raises his sheild up, protecting everybody behind it.
Addok also gets stuck into so web, being unable to move for the timebeing. Boris prays to his god and heals Lady Samanthas wounds.
