[ESL] Challenge IV - CAT B - Defense of the Great Golden Fleet

Recommended Posts

The frigates that protected the Great Golden Fleet were enganged in fierce battle against pirates!

But it soon turned out that the pirates were no match against the well-trained Eslandolean sailors.

The long months of exercise had paid off - and the "Heart of Eslandola" and the "Another Spirit of Eslandola" were able to fire their broadsides much faster than the despicable villains (who actually only managed single fire).

Both Eslandolean frigates concentrated their fire on the "How shall I name this?" (Christianing of pirate vessels is often an embarrassing affair..)

The "How shall I name this?" lost her top mast and caught fire.

Within minutes she was sunk.

The other pirate ("What am I supposed to say after I have thrown the bottle?") - having also taken severe hits - turned and fled.

The Great Golden Fleet was saved! :pir-grin:

And here is the victorious "Heart of Eslandola" - firing:

C&C welcome :pir-sweet:

Very nice entry Captain B, our micro-ships are excellent, and the forced perspective island in the background is a great addition! pirate_satisfied.gif Very nice use of those teeth pieces on the back of the ships, and the pirate ship names are quite funny as well! (I'm wondering how they fit the second one on the stern of the ship! pir_laugh2.gifpirate_laugh2.gif)

Those pirates really need to learn how to name their ships. LOL!

Three cheers for the defense of the fleet! I really enjoy your microship builds, and this is no exception. And looking at the island in the brick-built background, I see how some pieces fit together that I didn't realize fit together. I really enjoy your backgrounds as a part of your style.

Thanks - they really fit together but it is a delicate affair. Hence that "tooth-brick" to hide those tricks pirate_laugh2.gif

Ha ha ha! That is delightful. You sure can make a lot happen with those tiny ships! pir_laugh2.gif

pirate_satisfied.gif And they allow for a large fleet!

Great looking entry, Captain B!

I really like your brickbuilt backgrounds, and this is one of the nicest so far - as someone else said, you surprise us with pieces we never thought would fit together.

Your microships are looking nice too, and I particularly like the effect of the one sinking. Those icecream tops are a very effective as smoke clouds from the guns and gives it a very dynamic look.

One wonders if these treasureships will make it through the coming events before reaching home! ;)

That was quick. The sunny hardly moved. I guess it pays to train continously. :classic:

Ok, you caught me on this one. Originally I just wanted to do one picture/one shot.

Then my wife persuaded me to include some more action.

But, of course, they are firing two broadsides per minute pir_laugh2.gifpir_laugh2.gifpir_laugh2.gif

We'll see - I hope that all of the treasure fleet will make it home!

Awesome ships, but the best part of this MOC is the name-giving

Yepp, I had fun with that pirate_laugh2.gif

Fantastic microships and a great representation of that scene.

Your simplistic brick-built backgrounds have become kind of a trademark and work out wonderfully well once more.

Excellent work on defending our fleet!

I think I need to change the background sometime....

And I hope that I have saved the fleet! pirate_laugh2.gif
