Captain Cavinano

Adventure of the Pirates (Part1&2):My 1st Lego Movie

Very nice. You certainly have a handle on the software. Nice job with the cross-fades and wipes.

I have a big suggestion for improvement that I think will help the quality of your films in a positive way. You need something to hold your camera stationary-in one spot. I use a LEGO baseplate and box the camera in with bricks. Build a one brick high wall around your camera and change the action in front of it. Right now every frame is from a different angle and that's very distracting.

Also, I love the doggy sheets *wub* but some blue baseplates or construction paper might make better water. :-$

All in all though, it's a great start and better than any LEGO film I've made. I hope to see some more stuff from you soon. Thanks for sharing it with us and as this is our first interaction-welcome to Eurobricks. I hope you have fun here...

PS- I edited your title to use lowercase letters. It's just a thing I have-I personally don't like to see thread titles in all caps... :-$

Tripods also work very well X-D Although they do cost money.

A large sheet of blue paper is definitely your friend. Inexpensive and not that difficult to find. But if you should happen to have a little more money to spend then you could try a blue sheet or towel which you can ruffle to simulate various water effects.

Now, I think this thread would really benefit from a "poster image" in it's first post. Phred... Tiber... There's work for you to do... >:-)

That's what that threaded hole is for on the bottom of my camera... 8-

If you're using a high exposure in dim lighting then you'll definitely need a tripod otherwise you'll never be able to focus.

Then you can take pictures like this...

Nice film captain, the animation works very well! *y*

I see the guys already gave you some tips for improvement, keeping the distance the same in the pictures would work better i think. Now it is a bit chaotic in sme parts.

I couldn't hear the voices very well, but maybe that was intended?

It's a nice video! Well done. I agree with Captain Green Hair the voices are a a bit hard to understand though. I have to admit I don't really understand were part 2 is all about. 8-|

Well, At least you can say you have sailed the seven doggy seas!

A large sheet of blue paper is definitely your friend.

And if money is no problem at all, you should buy a truck full of trans blue round bricks, that really makes a lovely LEGO sea. Althouhg money mostly is a problem.. X-D

Are you going to make more parts after these?
