[NMOC] Studless Remake Classic 8860 Car Chassis by Crowkillers

Recommended Posts

Since Paul (Boratko, Crowkillers) isn't posting his magnificent recreation of the 8860 Car Chassis himself, I will do this for him

Lo and behold this beauty! Don't know 'bout you, but I think it looks amazing!

I love everything about this. It is glorious. Now we just need to put Arvo's micro version next to it for the complete set.

Jim, the link to the brickset page doesn't work. :look:

Fixed it. Here is another view of the original model:

I was about 9 when that set came out, brings back memories of my old 854. :sweet:

I seen this on Facebook. At first glance I thought that it was just the 8860. It is very pretty and very clean.

love it, superb work. one of my first technic sets (with 850, 855, 856). I remember building it with my dad when i was a kid - he helpfully made one chair in parallel with me making the other... and forgot to make it a mirror image.

i came out of the dark ages this year with the arocs for christmas and am addicted. I've been thinking of remaking 850 studless and this has inspired me to try it

There will be a break down, but no LDD or Instructions. But I am sure someone will step up and make us happy!

No, it has gained two pistons. 8860 had a flat4 engine.

You are right it was amy mistake, maths or english who knows? .

Excellent build by Paul!

Looks like it could even form a decent base for a 911 MOC with that rear flat-6, just pop on a body shell and there you go!

Amazing remake! Reminds me of the thrill I felt when I got the original for my 9th birthday. Time to rebuild!
