Building Mortesv's Nebulon-B Thread

Recommended Posts

I wanted to make a new freighter for the fleet, so I designed a little friend for the UB-820; a to-scale YV-929 Armed Freighter (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/YV-929_armed_freighter)

I'm still waiting for these parts as the top side wings: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=27263#T=C&C=85

Hope you like it, and if anyone's interested, a LDD file! :classic:: https://www.dropbox.com/s/uqgj7uxj5krqo0q/YV-929 Armed Freighter.lxf?dl=0

The same person did this on eBay, now it looks like they're trying amazon.

He has also on bricklink a store, just without the instructions.

@EKae Just built 2x YV-929 Armed Freighters from your LDD and it was easy!

The LDD is fine except for the part where you attach the front of the ship to the cone. In your LDD, there is no stud to affix it as you used #15535 (Round 2x2 with hole). I believe that it should be #18674 (Round 2x2 with open stud) instead?

Thanks once again!

Also would like to add the tankers by bricksmarlin. Do you have a ldd? Would be cool! ty

Unfortunately not. And the design of the tanker is from Mortesv, mine is reverse engineered!

No problem. I'm quite new in the topic and just got thrilled getting a nice fleet together.

Which one is the small grey one next to your top CR90?

I only get to work on this occasionally, but after about 3 months I finally made it to the point where I can get this bad boy up on stands!!  Of course I knocked like 20 things off trying to get the 2 halves together and get it up on the stands.  So now I'll have to spend some quality time going back to figure out where the heck half of these things even came off of! :classic:

Looks great!! Damn, I never have patience to build something in some months - or even weeks - period. When I start a model I wanna finish it ASAP to have the completed model so I can admire it, hehe. :)

Congratulations on making to this point! It did make me chuckle as your post is almost identical to my same moment of triumph detailed back on page 7 of this thread. Was that really a year ago? My, time flies. At this point, I would really encourage you to consider the mod I posted  also back on page 7. The foot attached to the stalactite makes a world of difference in the stability of the model. This foot eliminates the need of the front stand and can also eliminate the middle stand if you want to but the spine will bow slightly over time. On my model, I usually leave the middle stand in unless it's on special display. This picture was taken at Brickfair, Virginia before the show opened so the middle stand is still in place. Oh, and black 2x2 girders are much cheaper than the trans-clear cylinders and look great.

Almost there @Markus85!! A couple of panels and it is complete!

Thank you. In my case it's the 1x2 hinges I need to fix the outer panels at the rear and the front. :D I would love to add more fighters but do not have the instructions aso. Could only rebrick the X-Wing from the pictures but really love it.

The MC75 will be a massive project for me, but I try to only build the bridge part and the spine cause it will be to large to fit into my room. :D

I don't know why. I got mine via ebay. Maybe not the real source?! I only have a part-list and a pdf with the instructions. :/

Hmm, that is strange! Maybe you can contact @Cjd223 and if he can help out?

I know I got mine directly from Cjd223 in this forum, FYI.

Ah, that's the point. I will do that.

I got into the LEGO again with that purchase on ebay without knowing the background.

Thanks alot!! :D

There are no "Instructions" for the mini fighters.  They are the LDD files from the download link.  The ebay source is me, and the same download is given through there, the LDD files should have been in the download.

Hi Christian, thank you for your reply. I got the instructions and the list as a CD send via post from a German guy.

There were no LDD files added to it unfortunately.

Could you give me some more information about how you received the manual from him?  Given that I own rights to the official manual, I would like to get more information to take necessary action.

Sure, I'll send you a PM with the eBay link.

Got me angry when I realized the fraud.

I went traveling for a long time and only now I'm getting back to finish the job...

This are the real results of my mods:

IMG_3419.jpg

IMG_3421.jpg

The stands I designed are VERY sturdy, at the point that the two parts can stand on their own without any other support!

You can even grab them and use them as a couple of laser-pistols! :-)

IMG_3418.jpg

This might be very useful for transportation!
