Captain K. Posted December 25, 2007 Hello, B-T-1D I have built a new wooden water-tower for our station. And the old water-tower looked that way. On the right in the picture. I hope you like it. Greeting, Sven
Doctor Sinister Posted December 25, 2007 What a good idea - and different! Nicely executed as well. Dr. S.

Shadows Posted December 25, 2007 Great job and one that could be easily converted to a Wild West theme as well. I really like your layout, and honestly the old water tower is very nice as well, just a newer style. I'd find a way to use both, just in different settings. Train Accessories On! *y*
Siegfried Posted December 25, 2007 Well that is simply stunning! *wub* I love that technique. What can't be seen from that pic is that it has water inside. :-P Oddly though I can't see any steam trains in your layout... X-D (I did find a few in your folder though.) Bonaparte Posted December 25, 2007 Impressive Captain! Did you have to buy a lot of those brown pieces?
Captain K. Posted December 25, 2007 Oddly though I can't see any steam trains in your layout... At the moment, there is really no steamengine! However, I am going to build one. Did you have to buy a lot of those brown pieces? I wanted to build a roundhouse. I had bought the brown parts for it. A too big object is but such a roundhouse, for our layout. zouave Posted December 25, 2007 That's very nice. How long did it take you to build this?
DB24 Posted December 26, 2007 wow very nice! Not only is the watertower great, but the small building next to it complements it. *wub* Can't wait to see more
Ricecracker Posted December 26, 2007 very nice job! my favourite part would have to be the fisherman on top :-P
Brickadier General Posted December 26, 2007 Very nice. Have you seen Cale Leiphart's water tower? Yours reminds me a little bit of his. By the way, your layout there is looking pretty spiffy.
Stauder Posted December 26, 2007 Very Impressive! Both water towers look good, but the new one looks better! *y* Water Tower On! Stauder
Captain K. Posted December 26, 2007 (edited) How long did it take you to build this? I try with something, built three to four hours at the water-tower. Very nice. Have you seen Cale Leiphart's water tower? Yours reminds me a little bit of his. I have looked at several water-towers on Brickshelf. It this is possibly the water-towers look well. I have liked this with the water pump very much. Therefore I built it so. There is a little lake at our layout. The water-tower stands next to the lake. I have put a pipe of the pump to the lake. With the water from the lake the water-tower is filled up. Here one picture of the water-tower, how it stands at the layout. Gives our layout some new pictures on Brickshelf. alex54 Posted December 28, 2007 Sorry to be late replying in this tread (I've got some trouble with Internet... >:-( ) Captain K, your moc is really nice! I like the simplicity of the design, and the nice details and extra like the small "engine hall", the fisherman, and the pipe. It's full of life, just with few minifigs. great work! *y* I have nefer seen wood watertower in my life, but it looks like the ones that we can see in the US movies and cartoon X-D
