Hope that too to have a better price! If there is a BB8 and no interior to put the droid in... that would be weird. @marshal-banana after seeing the video in slow motion, you hit the spot! Six studs inside plus 1 at each side plus the circular surroundings. If it is smaller than the old MF at all, it will be just by a small fraction.

The minifigures could be displayed as part of the UCS plaque, like they are with the Snowspeeder and Tie Fighter. One of the fake UCS MF images showed something like that with ESB figures one side of the plaque and TFA ones the other.

To be honest it would be stupid if it is smaller...

LEGO: Wow guys look at the size of the box we made for it, its YUGE!

LEGO: Guys look at the instruction manual....ist BIGLY!!!

LEGO: Yeah ok its a smaller model and not minifig scale, sorry guys.....

I wouldn't mind if it was smaller but not TOO much smaller. So I agree.

If it was 33% smaller... that would be pretty massively disappointing.

Why don't we simply listen to the people who are saying it will be roughly the same size?! Do you seriously think TLG will release a smaller version?!

That piece mentioned also may not even serve the purpose people are saying it does.

What piece are you referring to?

The new MF might easily be smaller in size but have a larger number of parts. I would not say 33% smaller in size, but smaller in the same way marshal banana's MF is smaller than the original 10179.

10% smaller in size could easily be described as roughly the same size by anyone (while still having more parts because of a more detailed exterior and a finished interior).

Or rather,

"Look, it has a hgher pieces count, it is heavier overall, it has more building steps than 10179 so the manual is bigger."

This could all still be true even if the overall size is a bit smaller... I wonder how much smaller Marshall banana's version is vs the 10179. I suspect the new MF will look a lot like this highly improved model.

The 10179 is oversized for minifig scale so...

This is what I'm wondering. If @marshal-banana and @mortesv are identifying pieces (like the docking ring) I'll trust their analysis.  But I haven't seen a comparison shot of MB's falcon to 10179 to know how close in size they actually are, even if the docking ring is slightly smaller.

MB's model is 82x54x18 centimeters and approx. 7500 pieces (I've just checked it on his flickr page) and has no finished interior.

10179 is 84x56x21 centimeters and 5195 pieces (LEGO wikia).

So, MB's is a bit smaller, but has a much higher piece count.

Not appreciably so though.  Thanks for posting dimensions, I looked for comparison pics but didn't think to look for dimensions.

I think the most obvious thing in terms of scale is the cockpit. I think the cockpit NEEDS to be able to fit four minifigures just like in the movies. If it's big enough to do that I'll be happy enough. I would hope they'd do that!

Only this thread could see a short clip of floating bricks in space and then start doing size comparisons of a not yet released set against one of the most complex and detailed Mocs ever made. Love it.

Isn't the cockpit gonna be that new part that is used for the tank in the Ninjago ice tank ? If so, it must be possible to check room for 4 minifigs.

The people in the cockpit of the Falcon sit in the circular part mostly rather than the cone part... as long as that's got room for seating it'll be fine... it's just that on the system scale sets that part is mostly just used to connect it to the body of the Falcon. Obviously the extra width of the new part helps with that space as long as the tube and corridor are done right it should be bang on.

a. nothing is "official".

b. your US prices are incorrect for 75187, 75188, 75189 and 75190. add $10

i posted the US prices taken from walmart's inventory system that lists their price as well as MSRP.

Next Tuesday, is there going to be another teaser or the "official" reveal for the new Falcon?

Thanks, Jamie

Your EU prices are at the correct round off but where did you get the GBP prices from? Afaik only EU, US (not your US prices) and I believe the polish currency have been found. Currency conversion does not count as some sets are prices differently between regions (see phantom 2 for example).

Also is the TIE pilot really cheaper than every other constraction? Why is that so?

From what I can recall, I think September the 1st is meant to be the official reveal, so I'm guessing the next two Tuesdays will be teasers.

Toys"R"Us put them on eBay a week ago. They were quickly removed but I bought three.

Nice. Will you put some reviews up in the coming days or will you wait until their official release to upload them?
