These prices are killing me.

Why is the A-Wing 45 pounds? The one just a couple years back was 25 pounds and you basically got the same thing.

I know Brexit and stuff happened. As a US guy living in the UK I felt it in my bank account here. But even that doesn't explain the HUGE almost 200% increase..

What about possibly not getting them at retailers at all?

There's always Bricklink. I mean if you could wait a month or two after the U.S. release date, you could easily find sealed sets that are $10-$20 below the retail U.S. price. I am not sure, but shipping should be around the same $10-$20, (depends on your country). Which means that with some patience, you could get a set for U.S. retail price as oppose to overpaying for that very set in your local store.

But I generally don't use Bricklink... I prefer the convenience of just buying at a local retail store.

But if LEGO doesn't want them to carry it, they don't get my money

Oh Karabast. :hmpf_bad: The Rogue One Death Troopers in the battlepack 75165 don't have black pauldrons (Paul Drones, haha). I figured we were safe getting a set of 6 Death Troopers by acquiring Krennic's shuttle and two Imperial Battlepacks (x2 DTs in each pack). All Rogue One Death Troopers should have pauldrons: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Death_trooper *Maybe* this battle pack is referencing Death Troopers in Rebels in which they won't have pauldrons?

I thought some Death Troopers don't have pauldrons?

Many in the movie did not have pauldron.
It's like for the stormtroopers: only officers have pauldron

Like this picture

The bp is definitively Rogue 1

The ones with pauldrons are specialists. The ones without are regular deathtroopers.

Specialists, eh?

Thanks all for the clarification on the pauldrons. Crisis averted. Need to see Rogue One again. Battlepack 75165 once again in my good graces. All is well. Even the stud shooters.

In stores.

Just took a look:

75166 Battle Pack - 2 FO Stormtroopers with some sort of shield, Flametrooper and officer in a vehicle.

75167 Battle Pack - Dengar, Bossk, IG88 and a droid 4-Lom? (looks like AP-5 from Rebels). Build is some sort of Speederbike.

75180 Rathtar Escape - Big playset (at least 2 times the size of Jakku/Takodana) with 6 minifigs (Han Solo, Chewbacca, an officer (?) and 3 Death Gang members. The build is to represent the Eravana interior.

75178 Jakku Quadjumper - Big ship which looks just like in the movie/art books. Rey, Finn, BB-8, FO Stormtrooper and someone else (don't remember).

75182 Republic Fighter Tank
75183 Darth Vader Transformation

75187 (could have been another setnumber) was blacked out but is coming in the summer.

Didn't have a good look at the Freemaker sets but they are the big ones of this wave.

2017 Advent Calender - BB8 as santa, Unkar thug and OT Stormtrooper minifigs with an AT-ST build.

Episode 8 will have at least 6 sets (were  blacked out).

Overall the sets look good! You can say that there is nothing 'new' or exciting, but what we get looks way better than sets like Takodana, Jakku and FO Snowspeeder.

Can you give me numbers of Star Wars Episode VIII sets? And maybe names if there were some. You don't have to give pictures, just numbers and names. And if there was release date or price you can give it too.

Release date will be Force Friday I guess....and the date hasn't been anounced yet.

I didn't care much for the setnumbers either so I didn't wrote them down (everything else was blacked out). Release is most likely Force Friday as stated above.

I'm afraid that this is pointless, with exchange rates being so close together and the fact that the US numbers are higher by buying from the US you are in fact paying more money for the same thing which is pointless.

as I have stated before:

Y-wing $69.99

battle on scarif $59.99

A-Wing (tbc) $49.99

phantom $39.99

yodas Jedi star fighter $24.99

lukes landspeeder (tbc) $19.99

duel on naboo $19.99

As many of you are aware this year marks the 40th anniversary of Star Wars itself. With this in mind many people have speculated we will be seeing a UCS melenium falcon bearing in mind this is an anniversary (and previous set list for this summer wave) I think we can also speculate that we may see a UCS series yavin base as last Star Wars anniversary Lego did we saw a minifigure scale tantive IV. Finally though this is unlikely we may see a third UCS set.

Judging by your profile pic it's the B-Wing which if true I'm looking forward too.

I can confirm to you as fact that we will be seeing an A-Wing in episode VII but there's another forum for that.

You are correct. But it looks like a new iteration of my avatar will be 'winging' it's way to the latest Saga film as well.

Where are you getting those prices? What's your source? As far as I'm aware, none of the US pricing has been officially revealed yet, due in large part to the fact that the sets aren't even listed on LEGO.com as of right now. Most of your supposed prices seem absolutely ridiculous, and would only add insult to injury for those in the US.

Absolutely ridiculous sounds about right, the prices are absolutely ridiculous in every other country.

Catalogue that has been sent to people doesn't include half of the sets...

Also some people that I know have friends in retail stores who have said all that they are getting are Yodas fighter, battle of Naboo and the 2 construction figs (RO sets already released)

That's pretty disappointing.

In comparison these prices seem too cheap if anything - Duel on Naboo and Landspeeder might very well be more than 19,99 (Naboo is very close to the Carbon Freezing Chamber after all).

Basically, the Y-Wing is this wave's Resistance Troop Transport, and Scarif is this wave's Takodana, so you can pretty much expect them to be equally priced, no matter what region. The only increases compared to the past are the A-Wing and the Phantom, both of which have mark-ups that are consistent in the countries where they are already sold.

What date is London Toy Fair?

Whilst sets are normally on display at London Toy Fair, we don't normally get images from there as they normally aren't allowed to be taken.

New York Toy Fair, February 19th will give us images for sure.

Jason will send some pictures my way as soon as the doors open and we'll post em online. Then FBTB tend to have better close-ups online a few hours later.

So on Feb. 19 it'll likely go:

-The Brick Show for clear images of the whole set straight away.

-FBTB With close-ups (minifigures and such) later that day.

I posted my source on i believe page 150 it's a YouTuber whos posted set prices along with his builds and comparing them to the uk it seems very likely they are correct and insult to injury I'm afraid that the pound is still more valuable than the dollar therefore it's far worse for the uk than the us so I'm afraid your just going to have to live with it.

The y-wing is £65 In the uk so this mark up is very real, also the battle on scarif is worse than takodana as it has less pieces but still cost £55 and as I said my source suggest $60. Also for the landspeeder if yo think about it the landspeeder has 149 pieces so $20 is reasonable if Lego wants it to sell as the set just isn't good enough for a higher price point.

Got to see them again and took a closer look:

All the figures were mentioned as 'Minifigure name' so that didn't help.

The Clone trooper for the Tank set is a normal Clone Trooper on the Prelim box.

The Rathars are definitly brickbuild.

The 5th figure in the Quadjumper looks like a Unkar Thug.

Sets are coming in may/june.

September setnumbers are 75176, 75177, 75178, 75188, 75189 and 75190.
