SpacerSteve Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) Location: F04 Illustria Tags: Spying (sabotage), Military Building, Land Vehicles, Spaceship THIS IS MY FINAL MISSION! YOU NEVER SAID THERE WOULD BE CIVILIANS ON THAT MONORAIL! WE’VE BECOME NO BETTER THAN THE UNITRON! You know as well as I do that they won’t just let you leave. Where will you go? I heard of a new galaxy of opportunities. I’m heading to Andromeda....... ***The Planet Spyrius*** - Robot we have reached the target. Prepare for operation Tiger Whale! - Affimative - Deploy the rover - Rover deployed. - I’m dropping the device Robot. Place it at the base to the column. When their weapons train passes by it will activate. It will deliver a blow to their war effort. With the cost of monorail track going up they will never be able to replace it. - Unitron scum! - The device is armed. Operation Tiger Whale is complete. - Let’s get out of here Robot! - Excuse me Spacer Steve it is time to go. - Who are you and how do you know my name. You shouldn’t be able to stand on my centurion. We are flying at supersonic speeds. - None of this is real. You are stuck in a malfunctioning Holodeck. You have been reliving your past for about a week. We need to get you out or your brains will melt. - What? - You have to come with me you hav ha cha cha cha ha cha cha ha ha cha cha cha! ***In Orbit Above Illustria*** - *cough* My head what happened?! - He is back! I’m so happy I am crying right now. - Ha cha cha ha cha. - No dear that is enough mouth to mouth. I might get jealous. - Oh no! That’s quite enough of that! Where is the general? What happened? - Someone must have sabotaged this Holodeck. Someone wanted to see your thoughts. It is also possible that they downloaded your memories. The danger is that sometimes this results in your brain reliving your past. - I need to talk to the general. - The general suffered a similar incident. We were able to recover her. She is recovering now. - Lets get him back to the ship. I’ll fold up a transport ship. Spacer Steve You might need to rest for a week. - Is that really him! - Yeah I think it is. That is the real deal. Big Sal the hero of Marden! Big Sal, we are big fans of your leadership in Kawashita space. Will you sign my armor? - We’ll sure I can’t turn a fan away. To be continued… I believe this is my year anniversary so I thought a flashback would be appropriate. I’ve wanted to do this build for a long time. The Saucer Centurion is my all time favorite childhood lego set! It was an extremely fun build this week. Thanks for looking. C&C is welcome. pombe Posted May 23, 2016 Chaaaaa chaa chaaaaa chaaa! Chaaaaaaaa chaa chaa chaa chaaaaa chaa chaaaaaa chaaa chaaaaaaa! I'm so happy that Spacer Steve was alright, too! Maybe next time I could give him some mouth to mouth, as well!
VK-318 Posted May 23, 2016 The Saucer Centurion has never looked better! Way to go! The rover is also very impressive. I need to study these more, because they perfectly capture the style of Spyrius with modern parts. I'd better get moving if I want to be the first to remake the Recon Robot ... woofmcmoose Posted May 23, 2016 Excellent saucer! It looks just right for spyrius, though reminds me it was the only Spyrius set I didn't have as a kid :( I'd better get moving if I want to be the first to remake the Recon Robot ... Erm, too late: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=114288
soccerkid6 Posted May 23, 2016 Wonderful Spyrius spacecraft It looks heavily armed and armored, and I like the grabber claw
EpsilonEta Posted May 23, 2016 Nice to get some back story from Spacer Steve (even if the way it happened wasn't so nice) Loved the joke about expensive the monorails have gotten The Saucer Centurion must have been one of my favorite childhood sets and you captured it great. Instantly recognizable. My only complain is that the droid look like Mickey Mouse with those round tiles behind him

StarHawk3 Posted May 25, 2016 I really like how this turned out. Very recognizable as a Saucer Centurion, but still looks very new. The joke about monorail tracks was great and the base design looks just like those raised base plate that Unitron and Spyrius sets came with.

I still think you should do your take on the Recon Robot! Andromeda needs more Spyrius and maybe some Unitron! I haven't built the Scout Saucer, Robo Guardian, or Lunar Launch Site yet. Orange Leader Posted May 25, 2016 That's one awesome beefy Centurion! Cool to see Spacer Steve's past belonging to Spyrius; that was a fun Space theme with all the robots and saucers.
