Great stuff! It will be hard to make a B-model out of these sets, but at least you can make your own parts relatively easily.

I have just seen these models yesterday and was instantly stunned. Also I looked up where to buy them. Finding the link on their website wasn't that easy. Also, these sets are cheaper than I anticipated.

These models rock! I am amazed on the amount of details, the mechanical complexity, their reliability and the fact that they use a simple rubber-band motor, its genius :)

Just finished the tram and my fingers hurt like hell (I thought putting Technic pieces together is bad, but this is way worse). Other then this, I really like these wooden models, the instructions are clear and very good quality. Getting the little pieces out of the molds is pretty hard, you need some tools to help. The overall models is very interesting and the wooden gears work very good.

Here are some pics with it and one compared to 8051 motorbike so you can see the dimensions of the tram.

I found the train on Ebay from Europe, it is around $100 with free shipping.. I don't have a thread for that car.. Just click on the link, I have some more pics of it with a description..

As far as the train, I read on the kickstarter that is was for kickstarter backers only.

I think it originally was, but there are various sellers from Ukraine that have it for sale...

Not sure about others... but I don't have any problem with posts such as these. While not Lego, it does show interesting models that give ideas that can be replicated in Lego, or at least learned from.

On another note, these creations remind me a little about this that made it to the forum a little while ago:

How cool would that be if the pieces worked with others and you could create different things with them..... perhaps a little music machine like this one.......

I wouldn't have found these interesting builds without this post and I'm happy to know about them now. I know some people that will be very happy with this kind of sets as a present. So I have no problem with these kind of posts.

Maybe a bit off topic, but it also makes me realize once more why I like Lego Technic so much. It's the fact that you are forced to compose your builds from a more or less constant set of basic building blocks. That makes building a brain game. I remember reading an interview with you - Paul - where you compared building supercars with chess - "you always have to think 5 steps ahead". I like that comparison and I also like to look at designers like Madocca1977, Nathaneal Kuipers and you - and there are more - as top class chess players. Although I see myself as a mediocre player, I like the idea of being part of something that can rise to a level that almost nobody can comprehend, just by playing the game.
