[ESL-FB4] Paolo, the Puppet Player of Pontelli

Recommended Posts

A favourite for all the children and for the grown-ups who managed to stay young inside:

Paolo, the phenomenal puppet player of Pontelli!

Paolo's tales of heroes, knights and villains are loved throughout the city...

... and his hat is usually well filled with coins.

Paolo currently stages the story of a long forgotten civil war, including a mummy king coming from the desert.

Wild!

(And Alberto da Pontelli is a fan too)

It was high time to add some "Art and Culture" to Pontelli!

C&C Welcome :pir-sweet:

Lovely idea!

Right pirate_satisfied.gif

Your imagination never ceases to amaze me! GREAT idea appropriate of that era!

Thanks for the compliment. I actually thought that I had run out of ideas ... and then I started thinking about what the city of Pontelli is missing.

And then I figured, I couldn't do a decent theatre pirate_laugh_new.gif

I keep wondering where all these monkeys are coming from. I try to keep them out of my MOCs, but they manage to creep in somehow...

Yepp, Kaliphlin Civil War reference! Well spotted. pirate_laugh2.gif

Excellent idea for the arts. The microfigs are perfect for puppets and the hat full of coins is a nice feature. The arched wall makes a nice backdrop and you have a good cast of characters in the audience.

But what's this gibberish about a mummy king coming from the desert? Get out!:pir-wink:

I wonder if Paolo the phenomenal puppet player of Pontelli has ever "poised precariously over a percolating pit of putrid pasta"? (Just a bit of comics trivia for you. )

Good work. :classic:

Excellent idea and great execution. One wonders where he got the idea to the story from, eh? pirate_wink.gif

Best detail is the upside down hat with the coins!

One of Calvin's Spaceman Spiff fantasies in Calvin & Hobbes; he's been captured by aliens (his parents, as usual) who are threatening torture (the dinner table, as usual). After reading your alliteration in P this was the first thing that came to mind. :pir-wink:

Ok. That will have gone lost in the translation.

Thanks, Bregir.

I thought I had already commented but I guess not.

You have once again built a very well constructed scene showing good skill but also made it so entertaining.

I always rush to click on a new build from you and you never disappoint.
