Capn Frank Posted April 18, 2016 Captain's Log - Stardate ...Sunday, April 616 As I, Captain Stephan of The Resurrection, and my trusty crew were traveling to the colonies for a more lucrative route after the wake of the latest hurricane. Our men were disheartened as we continued our route along the path of debris. We doubted that Oleon had Poseidon's blessing to sail in these waters. We all decided to turn back to Granoleon and swore never to sail in these waters again. After we finished a prayer to Poseidon and began to turnabout, the most peculiar site came upon this vessel that could only be a sign from Poseidon himself. Captain Kaleb of The Divination was in the sea riding on the back of a giant sea turtle! We don't expect anyone to believe us, except for the fact that Captain Kaleb is alive when it was believed that all hands were lost in his vessel. Naturally, we took this to mean the empire does have Poseidon's blessing and believe our vessel will be very blessed. This is a 2F vessel. I'll have to post more pictures later. I only had time for this one shot. Stash2Sixx Posted April 18, 2016 Ha! That's great! Where'd you get the rope to make a harness for the sea turtle? Seriously though, I get a kick about how attached so many members are to the ship's captains. Can you imagine a Naval Armada that consisted of each and everyone of these Captains? No one would ever defeat them!
Dukesc Posted April 18, 2016 That looks awesome Phred!I really like the design of the sea turtle too, it's topnotch! It's great to have Captain Kaleb back with Oleon and hopefully he'll find a new vessel to Captain soon. That's a great shot of the leeboards you've been working on too. A little background information for everyone, Kaleb is my 6 year old son and this is his own created avatar. When it comes to Legos Kaleb tells me he is on Phred's side. Kolonialbeamter Posted April 18, 2016 Good to know not all hands were lost. Waiting to see more of your new ship Kaled for the win! Both in BoBS and even more so IRL
Capn Frank Posted April 18, 2016 Thank you for the complements. I look forward sharing more images of the new ship too. Where'd you get the rope to make a harness for the sea turtle? It's two coiled whips from the Indiana Jones theme. I have a few of them.
Brickwolf Posted April 18, 2016 I like the turtle and the leeboard of the ship.
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 18, 2016 I think I have heard or seen a similar story somewhere before
Captain Genaro Posted April 18, 2016 As I already stated, great ship. It's always nice to see unusual ships, and we don't get a lot of leeboards here. Can't wait to see some more pictures of her. That turtle is really clever. Very nice parts usage, and I'm glad the captain was able to survive.
kurigan Posted April 18, 2016 I like her. Small hulls are always awkward but a Dutch style yacht is very clever. She’s well-made also, from what we can see. Do please make good on more pics. I even like the color scheme with the checkers.
Capn Frank Posted June 24, 2016 I'll have to post more pictures later. Only two months later and I have more pictures. Hinckley took them at Brickworld Chicago. Captain Dee was kind enough to be the navigator of The Resurrection while it was traversing through the insanity of ships. brickworld_2016_eb_124 by Mark Larson, on Flickr brickworld_2016_eb_125 by Mark Larson, on Flickr
Captain Dee Posted June 24, 2016 Yee-ha!! I made it to Brickworld after all!! Well, sorta... Someone should inform Captain Doofus the proper way of handling a sextant. And typically, it seems he's more interested in the treasure chest than actually navigating. I'm guessing he ran them aground, or else collided with another ship or three. Seriously, the vessel is nice, and that fleet is really impressive. Too bad we can't see a little more of it. Who all provided ships for the display? Looks like you had a good time.
