You may hide the studs of the base with flat tiles.

Did you use LDD before to build the saber ?

Nicely done! I recently made a life-size Prodigal Son hilt (Luke's RotJ green saber) but mine isn't nearly as accurate as this masterpiece . Great job demonhunter!

I think it looks great in black. Very well done and extremely detailed. As close to a real prop as you could get with Lego.
