I saw that one too, very cute build! I like the new panel piece for the chest(? I'm not a bird expert), nice build Paul. :classic:

I like the use of that curved piece from the 42006 that he used for the head and eyebrows. It give the little fellow personality.

@JamesJT Yikes - that zombie's movements are incredible, very fluid!  I could watch the thing crawl around for hours.  It'd be good for scaring my children too

I love this topic, great initiative!

I almost never look at sports car MOC topic's, it's just bores me because it's to much of the same for my tast.

To me it seems like you can make almost anything with Lego, then why is almost everything a vehicle, and 2/3 of that a sports car!? Feels like a waist of creative potential to me.

I do sometimes build vehicles, but when I do it will always be something far away from what is commonly build like my terraformer MOC for instance.

I do really like GBC's because they're all very different and unique while doing the same thing. Very challenging and often satisfying to watch:grin:.

I am surprised that Nico71 Braiding Machine is not yet here:

Thanks.  I'm afraid I haven't been able to find a video online of it from the Techball contest.  My hands were full with driving but there were other people with cellphones filming.  It survived it to the finals :classic: but lost by one point.

Fully agree on the large focus on fossile fuel driven engines/vehicles in the technic range, pretty boring actually.

One large group of technic MOCs is otherwise the GBC modules.

Perhaps there should be a seperate sub forum for such vehicles, likewise a sub forum for GBC modules.

Well, good that I noticed this topic, it's a cool idea. Cause here I can show you guys some of my oddball creations.
Ever since I got back to Technic, like 3 years ago, I wanted to build some Technic animals, just because there are too few of them.

So here are some of them, hope they get you to smile for a minute or so :)

1. Technic Sheep

27243017274_384f9d11a7_z_d.jpg

I've built this sheep for an Easter-themed contest organised by RoLUG, and I simply cannot take it apart anymore, it's become my Technic icon :)
If you want to see more from the Technic Sheep Adventures, go here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/braker23/albums/72157669558429702
I also took it to a Trial Truck competition, see her on snow: https://www.flickr.com/photos/braker23/sets/72157666157429956/ (scroll to the bottom)

2. Technic Reindeer

This is my first motorized 4-legged walker, using the Theo Jansen linkage, also built for a RoLUG content, which I won :)
Because I needed the motors from it, I reworked it into a manual model, so the legs move when you twist his tail.

If you want so see more photos, see it on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/braker23/albums/72157660967943044

I have also other animal builds, I will post them here when I find the photos. Enjoy!

Great Reindeer!!!!

As mentioned earlier, you could link grohl666 youtube channel  ( https://www.youtube.com/user/grohl666/videos ) as there are many non-vehicles, including a new white shark and a few other C models worth a look ... would you classify as a vehicle the green Wall E from 2017's tracked vehicle (42065) ?

His duck dragged me into technic again http://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-5483/grohl/42040-duck-unofficial-c-model/

Well, seemed you linked it already. I know Milan's MOCs very well, he's the best animal creator I have ever seen, I hope he keeps this trend going :)

Now, I want to show you also the rest of my animal-inspired creations, hope you will get inspired as well.

3. Technic Rabbit

This guy I built for a themed RoLUG exposition, and my main purpose was to make a jumping rabbit. As you will see, it has 2 white shocks in the back legs.

By pressing it tail down and releasing, he will jump up a bit, then land on his front legs. If you press too hard, he will land on his nose. My kids love it!

4. Technic Carnotaurus

My oldest son (6 years) just loves dinosaurs, especially carnivores. So, under his strict supervision, I've built this Carnotaurus, which is pretty pose-able and playable (swallows minifigures whole!)

Don't forget the Antikythera Mechanism.  It is probably my favorite non-vehicular MOC.
