March 616 - Corrington's Escorted Trade Runs

To the loyal subjects of the Queen in her majesty's lands east of Belondia,

Having been offered and thereafter humbly accepting the position of representative of Tiberia in the House of Representations with the duties of trade organizer, I hereby present to you the official signup sheet for Corrington's escorted trade convoys scheduled to sail in the month of March.

We will discuss the destinations of our convoys in Corrington's private channel but signup for the convoys will be conducted here.

These are open first of all to any citizen of Corrington. If after the 25th of March there is still room available, continuing the tradition of our past trade runs, we will welcome citizens of Eslandola to join our convoys as well.

Assignment to convoys will be granted on a first-come-first-serve basis.

As I actually like the random code-names my assistant gave me last month, I will stick with them.

Route 3A (minimum speed 3 ships) – Merry Lyric – High Risk (CLOSED)

When you see your ship added to the convoy's roster, you may file your MRCA form listing the convoy's code-name when asked for the name of the convoy you are participating in. Unfortunately, Corrington does not have easy access to multitudes of large PMs so all further coordination will be done in the official Corrington PM. If you are not a Corrington citizen but are part of a Corrington convoy, you will coordinate directly with Mike S.

Dunno, I just send my 0 last month on a small single zone trade with my galley as escort. Since I have two `single zoners`, it just seemed a pity to not have them do something.

Though once Cocovia is all `settled` in` I`ll probably be just trading between the local ports to remain `in character`

Will the HMS Otter and the Sphinx be joining the same convoy as last time? We should have enough extra escorts to do an escorted bounty run as well but I would recommend speed 1 or 2 ships for this depending on the mission.

Is there room for another ship on the Fire Trader? I will be finishing off a 2F this week and would like to reserve a space for (I have not named her yet). That would give me one boat in each of the trade routes, so I don't know if that is really fair?

Edit: Okay I did not spot Puvel's ship on the route, hmmm that means its full, hmmmm, maybe she could go on the Merry Lyric along with Jezebel, risky month for me then :-)

Rumours have it that there might be more escorts available for this month's runs, so probably more flotillas will open up. For now, I'd suggest just signing up to your prefered route, and I am certain mr. Coyle will do his best to accomodate us all.

It is never unfair to add more ships to the merchant fleets of the Crown!

However I would like to make a suggestion for amendment... that provided one meets the deadline of signing up before the 25th, Corrington could guarantee a place on a flotilla for one ship per member (assuming the ship is up to speed or whatever?). Kinda like your first ship licence is free and first property is free etc.

This may just make it more complicated for Mike though, but it might make the sign up process easier for any new recruits, saving them having to compete for spaces against people with established ships...
