VintageLegoEra Posted March 1, 2016 (edited) Welcome Back Again with another Classic Set Review: Lego 6035 Castle Guard....... Theme: Castle Sub-Theme: Black Falcon Knights. This Set was Released in 1987. It has 43 Pieces, 2 Minifigures and 1 Black Horse. This Set has some Special Elements which I believe they are valuable : 1)- It has 1 Black Knight minifigure with Rare Yellow Black Falcon Shield and Black Feather Parts ( Triple, Large and Small ) 2)- It has 1 Black Horse. Always great to have a horse in a small set. 3)- It has Red Windscreen 6 x 6 Octagonal Canopy Overall, Small Set but so Beautiful with these Elements! :) I will leave you with the Photos! 1)- The Set: ( Before Building ) 2)- The Minifigures: 3)- Black Horse: * The Knight on his Horse! 4)- The Set Lego Master, on Flickr 5)- Final Look! 6)- Extra Parts: 7)- Bonus Photo! ( An Alternative Build Compared to Original Build ) Overall : - The Set adds a great Look to the Castles ( 6074/6073/10039 ) and fits neatly. - The Alternative Builds are Very easy and Nice . My Score: 10/10 Cheers! Edited March 4, 2016 by VintageLegoEra

WhiteFang Posted March 1, 2016 I always appreciate reading classic LEGO reviews especially those in 1980s. It bring back lots of fond memories and many of those sets are of yester-years which are hard to come by. So, I find it encouraging to read such reviews. SirBlake Posted March 2, 2016 Great review! I still have this one from when I was a kid. I always used it as a kind of guard post outside the King's Castle, using the black falcon figs to bolster the opposing army. It was probably the red in the build that led me down that path. sander1992 Posted March 3, 2016 Great review! It is a very nice set and one of the six (?) sets with a black plume. A nice army builder.
Sorrelon Posted March 3, 2016 Thanks a lot for the great review! I really like this set, but I have to admit that I liked the alternative build a little bit better. And I have to say, what a creative and brillant use of the windscreen! There is one thing that confused me though... - The Set adds a great Look to the Castles ( 6074/6073/10030 ) and fits neatly. While I agree that this set would look great with 6074 and 6073, I think it doesn't quite fit anywhere near the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer http://brickset.com/sets/10030-1/Imperial-Star-Destroyer
