[SR - FB1] An old tradition

Recommended Posts

It seemed like each year the trip to the sea dragon god's shrine took more and more out of him, but Master Shen was determined to make the trip as long as he drew breath. This year was special too, a leap year, and as they had promised all those years ago his grandson would be performing the ritual with him. They didn't see each other enough, but that was to be expected. It wouldn't do for people to see an exalted man like himself associating with someone of his grandson's ... character.

Still, that only made this day more special. While people might whisper about the notorious "dragon of the eastern sea", "pirate lord of the east", or whatever fanciful names they had these days, Master Shen only saw a smiling little boy in the place of the rough scarred faced man that stood before him.

Wanted to do a quick intro for my sigfig, the younger gentleman on the left of the picture with the ponytail and scarred face. As I'm sure you've surmised, he has thrown his lot in with the sea rats.

C&C more than welcome of course.

Very imaginative build, using an orginal oriental theme. Nice posing of figures too. Not sure what the pig is doing though! And for a photo from this angle, it might have been better to take off the front bricks as they spoil the focus.

It's always nice to see a wide array of Lego themes applied to the golden age of sail (even if you are a blasted pirate).

Welcome aboard.

Mysterious strangers from the Far... East? Shouldn't it be West?

Anyways, good introduction, love to see more 'foreign' influences.

Oh, and welcome to BoBS!

This is a unique intro. Fleshies, Oriental flair, and some colorful decorated parts - quite a bit different than my own taste, but there's room for variety! Welcome to BoBS.
