Forresto Posted February 27, 2016 The B'omarr Monks are an ancient galactic wide monastical order whose presence is found on many worlds from Tatooine to Teth. One of their most iconic monasteries is Jabba's Palace. The order many centuries ago, or decades no one really knows, the monks had their minds removed and placed in large mechanical spiders that can still be seen wandering their seemingly abandoned monasteries. I do not hate TLG's version of the B'omarr Monk by any stretch. I was a tween when the original Jabba's Palace came out and their version holds a special place in my heart. However it highly inaccurate to the real thing and as it is one of my favorite background characters from the original movies I decided to make my own. I feel this is one of my best MOCs as of yet. Apologies for the poor photos I need to find another lamp to better light the photo area better. Thank you for viewing! If you liked this there are a few more pictures on my Flickr account as well as pictures from my other MOCs! Flickr

Robianco Posted February 28, 2016 That looks great. The Lego version really was a very simplified option but this has excellent scale and detail as well as overall 'spider-host' shape.
Azrielsc Posted March 1, 2016 This is brilliant! I hope you don't mind if I make one for my Jabba Palace!

Forresto Posted March 2, 2016 Thank you all so much This is brilliant! I hope you don't mind if I make one for my Jabba Palace! Btw, may I know what is the element for the abdomen please? I don't mind at all, if anything i'm flattered. The abdomen is an inside out tire. If you like I can upload a post with it disassembled so you can see the parts and construction better, later today. Azrielsc Posted March 2, 2016 (edited) Thank you all so much I don't mind at all, if anything i'm flattered. The abdomen is an inside out tire. If you like I can upload a post with it disassembled so you can see the parts and construction better, later today. From the photos, I think I would require: 1. 6x 53989 - Black Arm Mechanical 2. 1x 48729 - Mechanical Claw 3. 1x 11090 - Black bar holder with clip 4. 1x 4589 - 1x1 cone 5. 2x 4740 - 2x2 Dish 6. 2x 43898 - 3x3 Dish 7. 1x 3960 - 4x4 Dish 8. 1x 30106 - Trans-clear crystal ball globe 9. 6x 30173b - Samurai sword 10. 6x 60478 - Modified 1x2 with handle 11. 1x 30033 - Octagonal plate 12. 1x 4599 - Tap 13. 6x 2555 - Clip I do not know what tire to use and how the abdomen comes together but I suspect it has to do with some technic rod and plate with axle holes (4032) and with a clip that clips onto the octagonal plate? Am I close?? Edited March 2, 2016 by Azrielsc

Haha that is pretty spot on, I am impressed with you eye for parts We have had overcast weather where I am so taking a picture has not been viable (I haven't bought a second lamp yet so I rely on the sun) but I will soon.
