vliet Posted February 20, 2016 I have seen a short film about it. It is an amphibious vehicle for private use, looks like a fun thing to drive

nastystage Posted February 20, 2016 Great project!! I hope you'll find a better drivetrain solution without using wormgears
syclone Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) Great project!! I hope you'll find a better drivetrain solution without using wormgears If I had any other motors than medium ones I could.I'm trying to find more solutions because there is a big lack of power right now Edited February 20, 2016 by LXF
syclone Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) Reversed the first gears( black bevel ones) and reinforced the connections of the motors to the chassis. While going straight of reverse everything is OK but when turning the motors struggle and there is obvious lack of power. I think it's due to the up-gearing after the worm gear but if I remove those the whole car will be too slow. Maybe with l-motors it would be okay but I don't own these and don't see a way of getting them right now, I will work with what I have. Will post the updated LDD, photos and video soon Edited February 21, 2016 by LXF

syclone Posted February 21, 2016 (edited) Made a buoyancy test, and it floats! Unfortunately the gearing is too low to create any serious speed on water .Videos will follow Edited February 21, 2016 by LXF
