Northern Rangers Dragon team

Recommended Posts

High peaks are difficult to reach for the northern rangers, so a couple of years ago they started capturing and breeding Dragons and other Lizards for fast travel to places they normally couldn't get to fast. Now they are a force to be reckoned with and many people still are scared when one of the big dragons fly over their village. When a dragon attacks your city, please don't be scared to send a beacon to the rangers, for they will kill it or tame it!

A brown pine-back. This one is still wild and the rangers are chasing it, but it is one of the fastest flying dragons there are, so it's a tough challenge.

From the other side. This was one of my first dragons I built. It is already a year or something old, but I never had the time to take some pictures.

A blue Wyvern. This is one of Virgil's dragons, the captain of the rangers. He uses this one for small rides.

I made this one quite easily, I used one of the legend beasts from chima (the eagle) and turned it into a dragon.

The Naga Lizard. One of the biggest lizards in all of Historica and also one of the fastest creatures one four legs.

It is ridden by Sue, the niece of captain Virgil and one of the most arrogant rangers ever as you can see in her face!

I made this one also a while back, I used mostly a DC set for the lizard, the one where Lex Luthor rides a Mech against superman.

Lola's fire dragon. Lola's dragon, my wife told me she also wanted a dragon so I made her one haha

Virgil's main ride, the black High dragon. This is my own favorite, the only thing i dont like are the upper legs, but I didn't have them in full black.

With Virgil in front. This one took me by far the most time, because I wanted to give it a real european type body, which was hard for me.

Another picture because I like this so much haha

The hammer head Dragon, this one is also a very decent swimmer.

With grumpy Wolfgang in front of it, it is his dragon. This is probably my second favorite. The head was more of a coincedence. I didn't know what I could do to make it different from the normal heads I usually do, untill I came with this dicision. After the head I made some fins on it and tadaaa the hammer head dragon.

And the newest member, the blue sky dragon. I made this one this week, after getting general Grievous for Christmas. I just new that with the new pieces I could make cool dragon legs.

From the side.

On my flickr are some more pictures https://www.flickr.com/photos/136674464@N05/with/24987226462/

Now I'm building a headquarters for the rangers which will also have a dragon landing point

Please let me know what you think and advice is more than welcome!

That's a whole lot of dragons you've got there! The small wyvern is simple, but has nice shapes, it's head is surprisingly effective.

The black dragon looks great, menacing! It's wings are maybe a bit too bulky, but that does give the impression that it's a very tough creature. I rather like it's rear legs and the tail.

Hammerhead is definitely the best of the bunch. He looks a lot more solid than the others, especially around the waist articulation point and due to the thick neck. His wings are very neat, and the tail fin is a nice touch too. Keep up the good work! :classic::thumbup:

Impressive group of dragons! They remind me of Nuju Metru's designs, which is definitely a good thing  You did a good job making each unique through different color use, and shaping.

Looks like quite an elite force :classic:

@ soccerkid Yeah its true that they resemble Nuju's dragons. I did start befor I saw any of his dragons but after I saw his dragons I really got inspired in some techniques, although the heads I created myself, they really look alike, but thats also maybe because it is in my opinion one of the best to easily create a dragon head.

Thanks for all the comments guys, really appreciate it!

You created cool dragons of great fantasy sagas. It would be nice for fans with rich imagination to play with your creations. You say the number of dragons is growing but to my mind they are a kind of dinosaurs which lived as long as the Dark Ages. But then they disappeard because all kinds of knights, heroes etc. hunted them for the sake of the King, the Dame, the Honour and so on. What do you think about that? Good luck.

Yeah im making a story about how a long time ago people were hunting dragons because of their scales with which they Could make great armor and for their bones with which they Could make the best swords. Now after a long time they are back to the highest peaks of Mitgardia and the rangers want to capture them to take care of them and let some live in protected areas because there are still hunters for the bones and scales. Thanks for the comment, I also like it when there is a story with a moc!
