BrickJagger Posted December 2, 2016 Sorry for the double-post, as it appears that no one found my joke funny ( ) but Brickset has listed a second polybag for next year: 30378. I assume this one comes with a stone monster, making it a nice potential army builder. Also, gonna leave this here as a response to whether or not NK is cutting back on sets: Winter 2016 Regular sets: 8 + 3 exclusives Ultimates: 6 Polybags: 6 Summer 2016 Regular sets: 6 + 1 exclusive Ultimates: 4 Promos/Battle Packs: 3 Winter 2017 Regular sets: 6 + 2 exclusives Battle Suits: 5 Polybags/Combo Nexo Powers:
Exetrius Posted December 2, 2016 In case anyone missed it, the Nexo power pack has quite a few interesting and useful shields. The mammoth, pegasus and "lion king" are particularly nice if you ask me: Also, while browsing the Brickset database, I stumbled across this polybag, currently listed as 30378: {?}: A mini Jestro's Headquarters! zoth33 Posted December 2, 2016 Wow the villains really look awesome. I cant wait till these come out. I really think people are gonna have fun customizing the minifigs in this wave and the polybag is great I hope I can get my hands on some.
TPLSTER21 Posted December 2, 2016 Out of all the sets I think that 70358 - Lance vs. Lightning and 70359 Aaron's Stone Destroyer are standouts. They are small, affordable, playset-type sets with multiple elements and good play features built into them - especially the Aaron set. They are probably going to be around $25 USD/$30 CDN in N.A. so just slightly above the "$20 set" price range, but with an additional 30-40 pieces or so. As a parent, I really appreciate it when Lego makes sets like these as they are awesome for gift giving and have really excellent value for money. On another note, a YouTube video shows that both 2017 Nexo Knights and Ninjago Sets will be available in the US (and Canada by association as NA release dates are always the same) on January 1st. Which means that TRU/Target/Walmart are almost guaranteed to have them before Christmas.
OC_Architect Posted December 2, 2016 @amazingbricksThat is quite the array of minifigures. Thanks for pulling those all together. I am really interested in the brick built 'rock' monsters as those printed pieces are pretty wacky. @Exetrius Great find on the new polybag. Can't wait to pit it against Robin and the mini Fortrex. Hmm.. maybe to start on miniature models of Nexo models. :) 4 hours ago, LegendsOfNinjago said: Finally Emblem Sheilds for the knight!! I agree!! Would like to do something with those as well by creating a hall of heroes as it were but even beyond that was always bummed that those shields didn't come in any sets. Of course with them being blind bagged I foresee buying many of the shield packs which I wasn't anticipating before. Aaron's set is definitely high on my list of this wave to pickup. I think it is great that the majority of this wave is comprised of affordable sets in that 20-25 dollar range. Throw on top of that they look like a ton of fun and Nexo Knights looks like it will be a big hit this year. Any word on continuation of the show and a new storyline? Megagan Posted December 3, 2016 Ruina looks really impressive and the squire bot for Clay has a new head print for the squire bots! Those the power packs look like they could be pretty useful. Glad to see some of those powers in a physical form that were not available, hopefully the rocket ship power (classic space emblem one) will be available in one of those among some others. Lordofdragonss Posted December 3, 2016 I really had a good laught when I noticed why Jestro Headquarters are called HEADquarters.
Wardancer Posted December 3, 2016 I like that they included one Monster without lightning. It looks like a regular gargoyle.
ZORK64 Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) I actually wanted to post a response for quite some time, but hadn't found the time to do so until now. In short my thought to previous discussions: - Personally, I prefer the grey/purple coloration, both from a thematic and aesthetic perspective. The purple brings some nice variation into the mix, and it's also a colour that deserves a bit more love. Grey is also useful. Furthermore, the head of the hooded minifig (the one with no conventional legs) is also pretty neat and will be extremely useful for me. - Aaron's special set looks pretty great! I like both the vehicle and the monster, and the Robin Hood-Bot (alongside with the tree) is not hilarious, but also a wonderful call-back to the LEGO Castle sets of my childhood. I even only just now realized that he has the old emblem on his torso! - I also just realized that this wave has lots of sets utilizing Mixel Joints. I really appreciate that. Lord Sith Lego Posted December 5, 2016 I only bought Nexo knight sets for the Lava monsters since they work well with the fantasy castle armies I have going. These new nexo bad guys look well done but I'm on the fence if I should bother getting them. Rock monsters that wield lightening doesn't seem that great when compared to the lava monsters. Will wait for when they are released and see the youtube reviews.
Dr.Cogg Posted December 5, 2016 The villains in this wave are great, but the vehicles are not very good, when compared to the first and second wave, for example, compare Jestro's headquarters, to Fortrex and there's no comparison, Fortrex is a far better set in almost all aspects, except maybe the minifigs. SodorBricks Posted December 5, 2016 Having now in my possesion all nexo knight wave 1&2 sets minus clays rumble blade . I can honestly say it will be nice to have these, all the vehicles look amazing in my personal opinion and the figures! Oh my god, there amazing, im defiantly going to try and make an army of those! Imagine thousands of thunder monsters marching into battle . So all these sets are a day one buy for me. I know that we have only just got this first wave but I wonder what the next wave will bring for Nexo knights?
Borex Posted December 5, 2016 Any of us that have a rock-lightning monster already and a cmf gargoyle? I'd like to see how the cmf gargoyle wings and headpiece matches the nexo baddies. They differ in color, but do they differ too much to make it look cool? Also the combination of rocks and lightning makes perfect sense. They are probably magic flintstones. Today i also got the last two sets (Macy's Thunder Mace and Aaron Fox's Aero Striker V2), to complete my Nexo Knights 2016 collection. I will not be buying all 2017 sets, that's for sure. I'll pick a few i like the most; there are a few LBM sets i like more.

After that still need the Siege Machine as well as Axl's Tower Carrier, although on the Tower Carrier will be waiting for that to be heavily discounted. Not one of my fav's for the summer release. I am really in to the 2017 line and with some really good price points I can see me getting almost a set a month. I am like you though there is some really cool stuff coming out next year particularly with the Batman Movie so plenty of stuff to be spending money on this next year. RAKRONDEWL Posted December 6, 2016 I personally like most of these new monsters better than the "lava" ones. I like that they are less organic and more elemental, this is probably why I like Moltor and Flama best from the first year. Just imagine if these would have been the lava monsters though. I may be getting extras to paint. How do I post the images without it showing as a link? I haven't posted a picture since before the update.
Peppermint_M Posted December 6, 2016 You can just copy/paste the image itself if it has the right extension. I'll try and fix this for you. EDIT: And yes, those look really cool
JurrasicPiggy Posted December 6, 2016 As for other info from that book, Ned Knightly is the brother of Jokes Knightly, also most of our current knights' ancestors were descendants from the first party of heroes that defeated the monsters living around them. Their leader, a farmer whose last name was halbert was crowned king. Later on magic was discovered, where Monstrox and Merlock rolled around. Monstrox was defeated at the battle of the golden castle by Merlock and his knights (Ned Knightly and Principal Swordmore Brickland included). Also Ned is apparently a terrible knight but is famous for comic books and acts like a celebrity. Lastly, remember Brickney Mcspears from the TV show? She teaches singing class at the Knights' academy and is the most popular from the 'Tighty Knighties'.
