Stuff that's in Dimensions but not its own line

Recommended Posts

Question for the group:

There's quite a few Lego toys in the Dimensions line that's not based in a regular licensed Lego line. Off the top of my head, this includes The Wizard of Oz, Portal 2, and I guess the Midway Arcade guy. And we may be getting Flintstones and Jetsons.

Are there any indications that Lego is producing these figures in an independent licensed line at some point? I don't own a gaming platform, so to date I haven't gotten any Dimensions toys. However, between the price cuts and the fact that some of these guys don't seem to have their own lines, I'm wondering if I should get them. Like, will this be the only official Wicked Witch of the West ever, or is an expansion coming later? Thanks.

We're not getting Flintstones or Jetsons, by the way.

That's frustrating. Why do LEGO have to do boring stuff like Adventure Time as opposed to something more interesting like Flintstones?

While i like the jetsons and flinstones for the classic cartoons that they are, i love adventure time and think rather the opposite :-D

Because Adventure Time will sell a hundred times better with the target demographic.

I wouldn't regard a highly acclaimed, artistically creative, imaginative, and sometimes emotionally moving, television series as, "boring". Speaking of which, has there been any more information on the Adventure Time pack, considering I don't follow Dimensions as closely as I do other themes? Finn and Jake would be algebraic additions to my collection.

This is intriguing but not answering my original question...

The Portal 2 Dimensions Pack is definitely a one-off, as is the Midway Arcade, and likely the Wizard of Oz. If I were you, I'd stock up now, considering the number of price cuts and deals to save on.

So...is Dimensions seriously becoming an unloading ground for suggestions from Ideas that didn't make the cut?

No, it is independent of ideas. As for Wizard of Oz, if there are no sets, the witch is pointless to me. Without Dorothy and the other key characters, having the wicked witch is pointless. If they do the others in a set, the they are likely to redo the witch too. So for me, she is redundant.

But its a Witch. It may be based off Oz but it can just simply be a Witch

When Dimensions was first released a representant for LEGO went on danish television saying what they did for now was testing the market for it in Denmark and the States. Depending on sales (offcourse), more content would be developed. To me, starting of with The Wizard of Ozz, without having an idea for a further Level pack would make no sense. Im pretty sure that we will se some interesting packs in the future, given that Dimensions have done well. ( afaik ).

Whenever more countries have Dimensions released with their own official language track, we will have an indication of what is to come. Thats how i interpreted the interview with that LEGO official.

Yes, of course she can. But I have multiple mitches already.

Woah, where did this rumor about an Adventure Time Dimensions set come from?

The initials AT appearing in preliminary space holders in set names.

Adventure Time is far from boring, and is one of the most exciting things I've heard from LEGO in a while. I find the Flintstones and Jetsons to be much more boring by comparison. I happen to enjoy all of them, though.

The Witch is just a great collection of parts. I love her torso and legs.

I really hope that this means Adventure Time, and not something else (I've heard it might mean A-Team).

Are we definitely not getting more Portal sets? I really want Chell, but don't want to buy any dimensions, as then I will need to buy them all!

It's Adventure Time. Mr. T is his own pack.

Which themes were rumored as well again? Sonic, ET, titans go, can anyone update these rumours?

I saw somewhere that Titans Go is happening. Sonic may or may not be genuine, I've heard nothing of ET until just now

Teen Titans Go is almost certainly a lock. We have Teen Titan minifigs in some of the DC sets (Jokerland) so I wouldn't mind getting some of the characters for Dimensions, especially if we finally get Raven.

Mr. T would be awesome, if they do an A-Team pack The problem is mainly with regards to who from the team (Aside from T) should be made and what gadgets/vehicles aside from the team van?

ET would certainly be interesting, as I could see it as a team pack with Elliot and ET, maybe Elliot's bike and a flower for ET

Adventure Time has more plausibility than A-Team but I'd like to see either, since Adventure Time has more ideas for builds and minifigs.

Mr. T is hardly the only character from the A-Team (although he is the most iconic and memorable). In fact, the Mr. T pack makes me feel that A-Team is more likely.

I'm going to tentatively believe that it's Adventure Time, though. It feels better to believe that.

Also, Mr. T pities the fool who doesn't like Adventure Time.
