Could I get 3D models of these parts:

Recommended Posts

I was looking at some of the lego creatures that only appear in games and thought "hey I could make that. I just need the right parts to make the new parts out of." And those parts are these parts:8697.JPGd4e4o5g414l436v5o2x5o2x2c4o2x233443354s2x5l4e4z353u214t2z2w2w2.jpg4522784.jpg

You mean 3D model for LDRaw? These all are available - search for part numbers: 44225, 44224, 48171 and 47455.

48171 is intended to work with 47455. It could be there are more compatible parts working with 47455. For 41680 two 41679 are needed. 41681 is needed for both 47455 and 41680 for longer side (or left side pin on the picture above). Obviously you can use beams and connectors as well as these are simple pins.
serious? it's that easy?

can these files be opened in say, 3DSMax for modification?

You can use LDview to export an LDraw file to an .stl or .3ds file.

Although, I don't know how good the export quality is.

Alternatively, there's also a LDraw importer for Blender (google it). You can import the LDraw file into blender and then use blender to export it to a variety of other formats.

Again, there might be quality loss. I have no idea.
