[MOC] RZ-1 A-Wing Interceptor from Star Wars: Rebels Phoenix Squadron

Recommended Posts

My latest Star Wars MOC from Star Wars: Rebels - the RZ-1 A-Wing Interceptor as flown by the Phoenix Squadron. Phoenix Squadron had several different paint jobs on their fighters so I just picked one and went w/ that build. Alas after this build, I'm now tempted to build some of the others in different blue/grey combinations.

The wings seems a bit too high, but I like how you made them.

I agree, I think they are about 1 plate to high but until Lego makes a 2x2 rounded corner plate. I'm kind of stuck unless I do some modifying where I stack the plates 3 high to lower it down but then I think I'll end up with vertical stabilizers that are to thick and "stepped" in their appearance. But something to work on/consider in the future.

Either way this is awesome. You did a great job capturing the overall feel and sleekness of the ship.

Great work.

Even if the wings are too tall, the angle on them looks great and the solution is pretty elegant.

1x5 plates/tiles might also help,i find i am frequently scuppered by the lack of odd numbered lengths after the 1x3 and 2x3 c,mon Lego lets have some longer odd numbered stud pieces :)
