HruppertDK Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Can anyone think of an idea for a LEGO set based on the NYC subway system? If so i would love to see your ideas :D Quote
PastVPresent Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I built an NYC subway car (thread here: http://www.eurobrick...37#entry2169945) and an underground station for my modulars (thread here: http://www.eurobrick...96#entry2196579). Not sure how well either would translate to an official set, but would love it if Lego did release something one day. I also once tried building a more "official set sized" diorama version of the above in a competition, it didn't turn out how I would have liked (I blame it on the time constraints...) but pic here: https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ Quote
Lemon Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Instead of a subway system, a tram system might be easier to implement using grooves in road plates as tracks. Fits more with the scale of Lego cities too. Quote
HruppertDK Posted December 27, 2015 Author Posted December 27, 2015 Tram system sounds really nice :) You could use the base from the train sets :) I'll try to make some models in LDD Quote
ilikeboomerang1 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 There's actually an easy way to make tram tracks. Just tile the train tracks, and ta-da! You've got tram tracks! Quote
Chilis Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Have a look at my layout, with both a "NY" underground and monorail tram; www.instagram.com/chilis_no Quote
