To be perfectly honest, it originally was just a raiding system, but we had to entice the traders to play somehow...

There was a general resistance to pinning more topics, so it was included in the Index, it is a locked thread, so it would not be bumped. However, if it is just a MRCA form that you need to fill out, we will accept them a little late, I can't start calculating everything until the 2nd or 3rd anyway, and I have to go through all of the licenses first before I even get to the MRCA, so there is some leeway this month if you need to get the MRCA form in.

Greetings, I would like to introduce my character and to pledge his allegiance to the Empire of Oleon. I am new to MOCing, but have been a Lego enthusiast for a long time. Please bear with me as I learn new building styles as well as how the game is played, I am also learning how to use the site and spent an hour just figuring out how to post a photo (so be ready for dumb questions). I hope to participate fully, but I have a young kid and might not have as much time as I like for building. So without further a due - here is Sparhawk - "a man with a secret"

Hi Sparhawk and welcome to the grand nation of Oleon!

Secrets are what make people (sigfigs that is) interesting! You will learn a lot here by merely observing and reading our always constructive criticism (and stabbing at each other's backs). But ofc we are waiting of you to show your fierce nature, as "people" around here, regard us as warmongering torturing guys THAT I ASSURE YOU WE AREN'T! Feel free to build at your own pace especially since family always comes first (Adam Sandler anyone?)

Also don't hesitate to ask us Oleanders whatever you want, here, in our respective thread, or anything in general, in BoBS main discussion thread . Regarding your intro build, you can post it as a separate thread if you like.

Welcome Sparhawk - Good to see you join! I shall let you know that there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers! (Which you are likely to see plenty of in these forums. It is sort of our thing! )

As to your intro build, I would definitely suggest posting it as a freebuild in the main forum of Brethren of the Brick Seas. (Register it as a freebuild with the freebuild form and post a link in the freebuild registration thread too) Many also post a link in their faction threads, but that is only for "marketing purposes", really.

Your story sounds very interesting, and no matter the pace at which it progresses, it shall be interesting to follow!

Here is my first freebuild for February, which I also will license as a small residence in Breshaun on LeBellan as soon as I figure out how the EGS work

(I'm not sure if we're supposed to do it here, but in GoH we generally post thumbnails of our builds in the faction main threads and I'd like to push my fellow Oleanders to step up the pace of the freebuilding!)

I apologize for leaving you alone in the seas Capt. Genaro, though how much company the Gee Golly Dandy would be I'm not quite sure. I had started an 8 gun lugger that I wanted to get into the January MCRA, but I packed up my LEGO a tad early for a move across country in expecting to make this month. Hopefully I'll have a shipyard going by mid March or April.

The reason is because Captain Greenhair took his fregate with him to the BOBS lay-out and it fits in the Class 5 Heavy A :)

Nope, they are just the MOC you are buying :) so as it are rather small ships, the price won't be too high considering you have to buy a licence as well :)
