Eh, hype has become a meaningless word through overuse and completely false use by loads of (cynical) people who just want to sound profound without actually saying anything interesting. Just like 'plothole'...

75158 - Rebel Combat Frigate

I love how a few choice words by just2good is enough to change the sentiment for this set from mostly negative to mostly positive. A fickle bunch us AFOLs. I can't wait to see the details!

I wonder if there's any chance this could be a Home One style interior set - the briefing room is very prominent in the series.

It's possible TLG might cram in a tiny briefing room which could fit two minifigures at a squeeze: it seems more likely they make a downsized ship with a small interior than just recreating a famous interior scene like Home One.

I'm not sure a medical frigate could be a combat frigate though.. Just checking back in often waiting for more info

Actually the Pelta used by Phoenix Squadron is indeed much more of a combat frigate than a medical one. It was fitted with multiple additional turrets (6 to be exact, IIRC), in addition to two forward-facing guns on either side of the bridge section, extra armor, extra engines, and the hangar on the bottom. In-universe, the Pelta was built to be modular. The variant seen in TCW is the medical version, while the variant seen in Rebels is the combat version. Given the name and how long it would have been in production, I would definitely bet on Phoenix Home being what the set name is referring to.

Which I have mixed feelings about, if this is indeed the case. On one hand, I absolutely adore the ship and think it would be an awesome set. But on the other, I just spent almost $600 to build my own version and would have loved to see a Blockade Runner to go along with it. I'll most definitely end up getting it, but I might just use the parts and figures to augment my own. Either way, no matter what the ship ends up being we're definitely getting Commander Sato, which I am really excited for. Hopefully we get some rebel troopers too, I love their design. Plus, we finally have another Rebel capital ship set.

Thanks for the extra info about the Rebels exclusive set. But if the set is still overpriced like the other exclusive sets like Palpatine Arrest and Sith Infiltrator, then I'll skip the set.

So do I. For those who aren't sure which one, here's a very nice version currently on Lego Ideas:

This makes sense in the scope of it being a companion piece to set 75150, then you've got Siege of Lothal.

We're probably going to see Jun Sato in this set (if not this one, where else?). We're past the midpoint of the Rebels series, also makes sense to give us the capital ship now.

Oh, TLG, my wallet hates you this morning!

Wouldn't Sato be desirable enough to count as a main selling point? Same with that ship?

Then again, maybe the person who said Ahsoka will be the main selling point was just giving their opinion and the information isn't necessarily accurate.

Well if this set represents Sato's command ship, it can probably be the same size as 75025 Jedi defender-class cruiser or even bigger

I hope a lot bigger. Honestly, if you want it to look just like that Ideas project it'll have to be a 160 (enter your currency here) set. So I hope it's at least a 1000+ piece set, hopefully around 1300 if they want do do it any justice.

Is it certain that Rebels will only last for 4 seasons? Kinda sad, but on the other hand it's good to have an end point in mind. It makes you feel better when you know a series made it to its finished state (unlike The Clone Wars).

I personally find Sato to be a rather lackluster character, but maybe that's just me. I think Ahsoka commands enough demand that she would be a nice icing on the cake for a well done ~1500 piece set and boost sales; something like 75055 size.

I thought they said 3 seasons actually.

They haven't said anything about how many season it will get, though it's been pretty heavily hinted at that there will be more than 3.

Hi there. I don't really follow any Star Wars threads but I do collect a lot! Just a quick question ( Sorry if it's already been asked or talked about), but have we ever received any SDCC exclusives for Star Wars? And is there any chance there will be one this year?

I hope only 3 seasons, because I want them to make a new movie, which will take place between 6th and 7th episodes

There probably will be more then 3 seasons. I think Dave Filoni said he has a idea of when he plans on ending Rebels. Also I wonder if we will get some rebel version troopers or maybe Bail Organa.

Woot, Ahsoka! Can't wait to see it!

Between her and the ship itself, that's all I care about. Any other minifigures will be just adding to the overall package. Can't wait for more info!

Is there any idea if we'll get another series after Rebels?

I doubt there are any current plans given how far in the future that would be, but I'm sure they'll do another one eventually. They have this whole team built up from TCW and Rebels, might as well put them to use. I'm sure Filoni would push for another series, at the very least.
