I bought a couple of weapons packs a while ago.  I got swords, axes and some daggers.  They are some nice weapons.  I don't think they are around anymore though.

LEGO Friends 41397- Mobile Juice Truck introduces the bamboo and large bush pieces in lime. I know lime is a bit controversial to use in castle builds, but can be useful in fantasy.

75270 - Obi Wan's Hut makes the tan dome readily available again, and 75271 - Luke's Landspeeder has a nice new cloth piece for Luke:

For animal fans, one of the City Great Vehicles sets features a lioness (same mold as the tiger, leopard, and panther from the Jungle Explorers sets last year). Not quite as traditionally heraldic as a male lion would be, but could still be useful depending on what type of historic/fantasy builds you're interested in.

Ninjago offers less of use to historic builders since it's taking another hard tilt into sci-fi, but two of the sets revealed so far do include the newer, more curved style of circular straw hat in gold.

I haven't seen the lioness set yet but that would be great.  That new owls from the city set and the one from the princess line look great too.  Some of the star wars sets have some great minifigs.  The x-wing set has a couple of great figs that could be used for castle or fantasy builds.  The ninjago sets have alot of new pieces and some interesting weapons.

Thanks Exetrius.  I will be picking that one up.  Nice to have more parrots too.  There are some interesting pieces in the trolls sets, that new leaf piece looks neat.  Also some new musical instruments in the troll theme, with different colors for several pieces.

What shade of blue is it? Maersk, medium blue or another colour?

I think the head of Kai’s Fire Dragon is new though I’m not sure.

I think Medium blue. Right, I missed the dragon head.  It's a pretty cool piece, and has a more convenient size than the original from 2011 that it is made to look like. 

Also, the big tree leaf pieces in lavender in one of the trolls sets are new recolours. They will nicely complement the smaller leaves that have already been released in that colour.

The dragon head will be useful also the raptor legs in red.  The centaur body is nice but I hope they actually make centaurs now.

This probably is at best tangential to the kind of time periods people consider “historic”, but there’s a diver figure in the new Hidden Side sets who uses a brown helmet and air tanks. The air tanks could work for similar old-timey divers, but the helmet could potentially have even more historic applications if paired with one of the various compatible knight visors Lego has released.

Wondering if the torso has back print...Also, I'm thrilled that the printed white skirt is now available on an other fig than the expensive Leia from Tantive IV...

I could not resist the temptation and went to my store this afternoon. And I'm a big fan of Ice Guy's torso : the print is very detailed, front and back.
It may be hard to tell on the picture, but there is a pattern on the robe. 

In my store, the printed white skirt was also available in the BAM tower (and the elephant mask was in there too).

I can confirm that the above Ice parts are available in the UK BAM (not pre-packed figures). Also, one of the Chinese torso pieces and pink elephant etc.

Just noticed the Lion Dance set has 21 of those "shields" in Light Bluish Grey, so could be useful to Castle/Historic figures.

Here's some fanasty-ish minifigure parts that caught my eye recently.(Some have already been mentioned)

Agent Kallus those are some nice pieces.  I have the new aqua man and the torso is a great piece, also the fish in a new color is always welcome.  Thanos' helmet is very nice in that color too, I pick up the set just for the thanos fig and the gold parts.  I can't wait to get some of those ghost heads from the hidden side sets and the new skeleton head print in hidden side looks really good too.

Do you have the numbers of these pieces? There some great pieces to use. I especially like the first 2 hairpieces. The dish is great for mushrooms.

@Boindil Lego The design id for the first 2 hairpieces is 65425, and the one for the "mushroom" dish is 66689. I don't know for the others.

@Boindil Lego, I thought that dish would be great for mushrooms, too, but when I looked it up (the Lighthouse of Darkness set), it's one of the big dishes, so unless you grow 4x4 mushrooms, it's too big.
