place: G06 Zimunsk

Ocean Expedition for Biomass rich for future research. Mrs. Smith has been tasked to work out the kinks of the new submarine research vesicle O-EV-003 dropped off on the planet G06 Zimunsk, we managed to find this shifting ocean and prepare our cargo ship (next story part) and drop the sub in. The waters here are dark, dark blue and offer little light but for now mrs. Smith can manage.

Great little sub. I keep wanting to build a sub myself but I just haven't gotten around to it. Nice with the lights and the manipulator arms. I wish there had been a bit more terrain, particularly under the sub, but I know how time can slip away too.

great looking sub, i think the arms would have looked better without the large joints, instead of using hinges, you could build multiple arms in different poses if you need them to be positioned differently from shot to shot. but i actually don't see any different arm positions between your shots so i'm wondering why have the hinges at all. I also don't really understand what the right arm is.

the other issue I have is with your set up, the large rock and base plates are unnecessary, so I don't think you should use them at all, they cheapen your scene. a clean shot of your sub would have been better. the lighting is an interesting trick, as long as you follow up with well lit spoiler shots (which you did).

great use of technic paneling and cockpit shaping

Thanks Goatman, I was rushing and didn't have time to make a decent back ground, I am hoping to do something better, the other arm was supposed to be a scanner, guess I'll should have put that...

Cheers
