With the Triffid gone, Drucilla is finally able to make quick work of the pesky golems. A blinding flash later, the golems lay on the floor, reduced back to food.

"Oh, you sourpuss! You had me worried!" The wizard woman turned to the heroes. "I cannot thank you enough for helping us!"

"No problem, Mrs. Eldritch. I don't suppose you remember me... You taught me at the Academy of Enlightenment some years ago. Too bad I couldn't help you out, too, but my emerald would not have worked."

"I remember you now... Waldorf, wasn't it? Take this ruby, you will need it against that Triffid. I suppose you are going to chase it down, right?"

Waldorf was so flabbergasted at his old teacher's generosity that Annabelle spoke up for him.

"Of course! We can't let it hurt any more citizens of Eubric!"

"I must attend to my husband now, but I want to help you out, so the rest of you can choose between taking one of my remaining gems or 100 gold. You should stock up at the Marketplace before you continue your hunt."

Drucilla left the party, but Waldorf joined it!

"As I can't really use gems, or atleast I don't think I can, I choose the gold." Torald also consumes the Mighty Carrot and Chicken Drumstick.

"Hmm...I cannot accept the gold, because that would be like payment for an act of heroism...but you are giving it for a worthy cause that we can destroy this menace, so I will accept the gold. I thank you for your kindness, my lady."

I plant a kiss on Drucilla's hand.

(OoC:) Looks like Drucilla gets to keep all the gems.

Ezeran turns to his fellow heroes. "Any ideas on what we need for our upcoming hunt and battle? I guess a trip to the marketplace would be a good idea? I'm in need of a nap anyhow."

"Well, as it seems Triffid is immune to poison, so my spear doesn't affect him other then the normal attack. So, I guess we just need to hit him with normal attacks as much as possible." Torald starts thinking. "He is a plant-ish creature, so does that make him weak to fire? If so, my other sword would do pretty well against it"

[Sandy]

As the other patrons of the restaurant quickly departed, Drucilla handed out the promised gold from her purse.

"Oh wow!" Waldorf finally managed to utter. "I won't let you down, Mrs. Eldritch, I promised!"

"I am counting on that."

Drucilla smiled at Petaldan, but there was a hint of sadness behind her smile.

"You're a sweet child, Sir Parfenius. I'm pleased to have made your acquaintance... Just be careful out there, this is not a very nice city."

Ezeran spreads out his bedroll and takes a nap

Ezeran did not have time to sleep, for the kitchen door was slammed open, and an enormous creature stomped out, flailing a ladle.

"Yikes! We're in trouble now..."

"Master Chef Yasmar, allow me to explain..."

"You'd better! And I don't want to hear any megablocking excuses, Maitre d'! I am trying to run the fanciest megablocking place in town, and I won't allow this kind of weird shit to screw it up!"

The golem quickly went over the Triffid assault.

"That was a Triffid?! Bloody hell, I've been waiting for this chance my whole megablocking life... Did you know that Triffid leaves are an ancient delicacy? Maitre d', Paula..."

"It's Phoebe, sir."

"...Whatever. You two, go and get me some Triffid leaves or you can consider yourselves fired. And I mean this megablocking second!"

The party had no choice but to leave the restaurant with the golem and the waitress.

"I guess we are sticking together until we can track down the monster", the golem sighed.

"Yip yip!"

"Frau-frau caught a whiff of it! But do you want to shop at the Marketplace first?"

"Something that will prevent the Triffid from fleeing would probably come in handy."

"Y'all might also wanna increase its luck again, if it swallows another victim before we catch it."
