One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,

One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Barad-dûr was held together by dark magic and was the greatest fortress in all of Middle-earth. It was originally built in the Second Age and razed after Sauron's defeat in the War of the Last Alliance. Sauron had Barad-dûr rebuilt during the Third Age as he rose back into power, but the tower was forever destroyed immediately following the destruction of the One Ring, as it was constructed and held together using the Ring's dark magic.

This project includes 5.364 pieces! In comparison, the 10189 Taj Mahal had 5.922 pieces!

Here you can see the size compared to the Lego "The Tower of Orthanc".

I think that's the perfect height for the tower, not too small and not too big.

Please click on the images, to see them in HD. You can find all images on my Flickr album.

Words escape me. That would be the ultimate Lego set.

You're renderings of the minifigures are quite good, I especially love Gil-Galad, Elendil, and Isildur.

Really great! It completely fits in with Orthanc and feels like a (huge!) retail set. I like the details like the 9 rings and the detailing around the lower part of the tower. I think the Eye could use a little more fire, though.

I'd totally buy one! :sweet:

I hope this gets made into an official set, and I say that as somebody who generally dislikes Black sets and builds! Really fantastic grand build and the minifigs are really fantastic too

I supported at "Ideas" at once. Really cool set and I hope that LEGO decides to put it into production. Especially hope to see Gondor/Free men of the West minifigs In a set. Why not in a Barad-Dur set?

Normally, I get frustrated when people advertise their Ideas sets here rather than just presenting creations as MOCs, but this thing is just staggering in its enormity, and I will support as soon as I can figure out my Ideas login information. We need to save LEGO LOTR, and I would love to see this behemoth next to my dearly bought Tower of Orthanc. :cry_happy:

The more LOTR projects people get to 10,000, the more TLG will have to acknowledge that we are all corrupted by the One Ring.

I sincerely regret that this moc will never become a set. I had bought it immediately. I would love to see him at my home. Is it possible to get instructions from this fantastic set?

They last logged in about two years ago, so the answer is probably no.
