MOC: Brewery and Bottling Plant

When I first emerged from my Dark Ages my first modular MOC was a brewery shoe-horned into a modded structure that had been built from instructions from brickcitydepot. I always knew I was going to rebuild it at some point and I finally got around to completing it.

I extended the depth and completely rebuilt it.

I wanted a see through facade so that the interior details could be seen at shows. And the front is removable as one piece if I want to show more.

The Ground floor has the fermenting tanks, a small office (with wall mounted fan), a bathroom, a fridge (stolen from the Fire Station) a loading dock and a hand operated Freight elevator.

Here's a link to a quick video of the Freight elevator. There's enough brick friction to keep it in place (most of the time)

The rear of the building has a loading dock, security cameras and a beat up dumpster

The top floor has the Bottling plant where (from left to right empty bottles) are placed on the conveyor belt, filled with beer and then they go through the packaging area where they stuffed into boxes ready for distribution.

Comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome.

I'm liking it, only thing thats missing is Peter Griffin "working" goofing off in the background or Homer Simpson raiding the plant.

Looks really good! The colors match perfect and i think the interior is as complete as it could be!! Getting thirsty of it already!!

I like the front with all the windows and the interior is very detailed and well done! I especially like the packing station and the tanks.

A photo of the very first version would have been interesting to see how it developed.

Great! The interior captures a small brewery operation well without being overly busy, and the sign/lettering is very nice. The small shipping dock at the back is a nice touch as well. :classic:

Nice! My favourite details are the glass front wall and the bottling plant.

It is really nice but frankly I prefer your other works to this one. I guess it is better to have your own idea from the start.

Very good. I've been working on a brewery myself, but I struggled with the complexity of the brewing plant. You managed to keep it tidy and interesting within a small space without sacrificing to much of the process. I raise my glass and cheer for that :)

I see why you want the glass facade to show of the interior, and think it works fine. Although I personally prefer the look of old buildings, this is very well done and realistic modernized building.

Magnificent! And the removable glass front is genius as it allows such great access and seems like a realistic design for a real brewery. In fact a brewery in my home town is largely enclosed in glass.

Great modular. The outside works well and the inside is really great. My favourite part is the "beer"-sign and the conveyor belt.

This was the original facade (based on a brickcitydepot set of instructions for a 16-wide Commercial building). I doubled the width of it, but it still felt cramped and the interior details were hidden so when I decided to rebuild it I extended the depth and completely rebuilt it from the baseplate up.

I really like the glass facade.

And the removable glass front is genius.

An entirely glass frontage is so out of character for what I normally build, but I felt it just needed it here. The interior is now such an obvious part of the building and I can't wait to show it at this Sunday's LUG display. It's in Kansas City, Missouri at the Expo Center ( http://www.midamericatrainandtoyshow.com/ )

Thanks for all the comments.

That's genius! I've always experienced difficulty with making LEGO industry because I never know what things a factory would have. You have done a great job here, well done!

Somehow, I missed this one; glad to bump it up.

It looks great!

A very original take on a modular; love the sign and the interior.

Keep clicking those bricks together!
