19054304858_2e7921f2c2_o.jpgI still don't really get how it works.

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgUgh, it's not difficult Roberts. You know how you can persuade people to do almost anything for money?

19054304858_2e7921f2c2_o.jpgYes...

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgAnd you know how money is based on gold?

19054304858_2e7921f2c2_o.jpgI suppose...

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgWell then, the mechanics of the Persuadomatic (patent pending) should be obvious! It vapourises gold and expels it as a mist of nanoparticles into the air. Anyone breathing it in will become easily suggestible.

19054304858_2e7921f2c2_o.jpgYeah, I'm not sure that makes any...

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgFIRE IT UP! 25% POWER!

Excerpt from the lab book of Big Sal:

Method: Using gold from Guinevere, the Persuadomatic will disperse a mist of nanoparticles into the air.

Prediction: Kawashita scientists exposed to the Persuadomatic will be easily convinced to give up valuable intelligence.

19054304858_2e7921f2c2_o.jpgStable at 25% power. Those pills we took will protect us right?

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgSure! Ok, I'm going in!

19054304858_2e7921f2c2_o.jpgI still think you should have changed out of your M.A.N.T.I.S. colours...

18621420913_8717d43dfb_z.jpg

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgGreetings fellow scientists!

19054305298_165085171e_o.jpgUh, who are you?

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgI'm Big Sal! The famous M.A.N.T.I...shita scientist!

18619421104_86bea5321a_o.jpgDid you just say 'MANTIShita'?

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpg Erm...no! I said 'mighty Kawashita' of course! Roberts, increase the power!

19054360880_18dcfbb999_z.jpg

19054285860_7c2a6085fc_o.jpgWhat was that?

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgI said, uh... 'man, I could do with a shower'!

19054304858_2e7921f2c2_o.jpgGood save... Power at 50%.

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgAnyway, what are you guys up to here? Fill me in on your latest findings.

19241887015_b31b9de1e6_o.jpgHmmm, I don't know about that. I'm still not exactly sure who you are?

19054285860_7c2a6085fc_o.jpgYeah, if you're Kawashita, what's today's password?

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpg Uhhhh... more power damn it!

19054304858_2e7921f2c2_o.jpgIncreasing power to 75%

19241887015_b31b9de1e6_o.jpg Hey! Dr Wu asked you a question! Stop mumbling!

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgOk, you got me. I'm not from Kawashita after all...

19054349240_7f8401c537_z.jpg

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpg I'm from the Nobel Prize committee! We've been watching Dr Wu and we're very impressed!

18619421104_86bea5321a_o.jpg OHMYGOD! WOOO!

19054305298_165085171e_o.jpgOh, wow, I'm flattered!

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpg Yes, it's true! I'm here to conduct our final investigation, so if you could just give me all the details of your work...

18619421104_86bea5321a_o.jpg THIS IS AMAZING!

19054305298_165085171e_o.jpg Oh, yes, of course! So, this is our new awesomnium drill and we recently discovered the astounding fact that...

19215845556_1711aa1143_z.jpg

19055747449_b51b5d5b1a_o.jpg What's going on down there? Who's that M.A.N.T.I.S. guy??

18619421104_86bea5321a_o.jpg NO, HE'S FROM THE NOBEL PRIZE! DR WU'S GOING TO WIN! I ALWAYS BELIEVED IN YOU DOC!

19055747429_c8f6140ebf_o.jpg Why's he holding a trophy? Isn't the Nobel Prize a medal?

18619421104_86bea5321a_o.jpg...

19054305298_165085171e_o.jpg...

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpg...

19054304858_2e7921f2c2_o.jpgLemme guess? 100% power?

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpgYup! But they've got rebreathers... we may just have to rely on my natural charm and quick wits!

60 seconds later:

19215978926_3825140d70_z.jpg

17971638764_d8c2d39728_o.jpg AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! THE NOBEL COMMITTEE WON'T LOOK KINDLY ON THIS! START THE ENGINES ROBERTS!

Excerpt from the lab book of Big Sal:

Results: Persuadomatic showed promise but was ineffective against Kawashita troops with rebreathers.

Conclusions: Why were they wearing rebreathers anyway? Sorn's atmosphere is perfectly breathable. We may have another security breach.

Excerpt ends.

My first go at SNOT rocks. Not entirely happy with them, but practice makes perfect I guess. Comments and criticism welcome!

It was fun to have a go at building Kawashita stuff for a change!

That drill machine is amazing. Consistently one of the best storytellers in AG! I always seek out your build threads.

There is no security breach, and nothing to worry about. The Kawashita Special Ops are of course just inspired by me, Q, to always wear rebreathers!

Anyway, great story and build as always! I love that the Special Ops team actually commented on the fact that the Nobel Prize is a medal and not a statue!

Good ol' Big Sal! Good thing he had that trophy on him! Agreed that the rocks weren't quite there… maybe if they had a bit more of an expansion at their bottom? But for a first attempt, great work - I'm still trying to get them right myself. Also love the legs of the drill.

Ha, ha, another excellent build and story, Big Sal, the Kawashita drill is very nice, great use of those cannons on the legs! :sweet: Great rock-work and water as well, and good idea with the gold vaporizing Persuadomatic, even if it, err, didn't go quite as planned!

Awesome story! Haha. I loved it. Very cool drill. The ground looks great and nice for first SNOT rocks (I wouldn't have known they were your first had you not said so). Great job!

I'm pretty sure Sal's wit and charm alone is what got him his degree in... "Science" What a hilarious build! Your Kawashita machine is great, and I do like your rockwork!

I love the effect of those 1x1s on the ground, and the drill, and most of all, the story! I suppose the Nobel prize may yet elude Big Sal. Someday, Sal, someday.

Haha, I had a particularly good laugh with this one! You're a master storyteller :thumbup: Big Sal is good to improvise in difficult situations, really, he's... surprising.

"Isn't the Nobel prize a medal?"

Best one yet! Who knows, it could have changed a lot through the years, right... But I mean, those Kawashita guys sure are naive! Huh... Wait... Hey!:oh3:

And that chubby drill is nice too! Your first SNOT rock is nice. The rock feels very natural.

Another fun and funny story! I think the rocks turned out well, and I really like the drilling machine. As others have said, using the cannons for legs is brilliant.
