Clean pen painted minifigures

Recommended Posts

I recently got a tub of used Lego.

In it there was a few minifigures that had been paninted what looked like white board maker pen or simular in blue or black

I also got a black horse that was painted as a Zebra with a correction lacquer.

How can i remove it without damaging the normal print.

Dry board marker comes off most easily with wet wipes, the kind sold for hand sanitation.

So-called permanent board marker sometimes comes off with a Kleenex dipped in isopropyl alcohol.

Neither wet wipes nor isopropyl alcohol will damage LEGO parts or their printing.

Or you could use a whiteboard marker. That trick works well on both LEGO and Whiteboards ;)

Or toothpaste That worked like magic on all my painted minifigures. A nailbrush on hard places.

Have not tried it on the horse yet. It is a different type.

one advice do NOT use nail lacquer remover. Even the mild one.

I had a bad head that I tried on. Some of the print came off.

Toothpaste is abrasive, so be careful how you use it. Marker pen is easily removed with a little body spray, the alcohol in both products break each other down and you can wipe clean.

Anything else is liable to damage the printing.
