[Challenge 1] Slithering Around on Wastyria [O - H09]

As we all know, Dr. Danielle was asking Guy to get a few samples on Wastyria - and a whole host of other places, of course. But how do you eat an elephant, if not one bite at a time? So Guy took a peek at what was waiting for him on Wastyria....

and then decided to offer to take over the laundry jobs for the Octan executives.

A few views of just the rock:

Since I made it to be viewed from all size, I had to get pictures of that, of course!

Thanks for checking this MOC out! I think this is some of the best rockwork I've ever done. As for the snake... well, I'm not much of a creature builder. But I tried!

Well that snake is just plain impressive! All the different "curve" techniques somehow come together well.

Fantastic rock. It is even nicer when you leave it on its own, but then you would miss out on that amazing serpent!

Excellent build Kai, the rock-work, especially the arch, is superb! Nice job on the snake as well, though the head does look a little odd for some reason... Great job overall!

i'll bring the fabric softener...The snake turned out great, better then anything I could have come up with. The rock work is awesome, love the hanging look to it.

That all looks awesome. Definitely some parts use and execution that I would never have thought of.

I really like the rock. And the snake is cool - you chose a really good part for it's tail, the way it curves like that and leaves the spiny part exposed - and I like it's head.

Nice rockwork, but the snake steals the show.

Really great! The rock is amazing - very lifelike somehow, and the snake is great too. I like the flag as its tongue!

That snake looks thin and fast, and I love that tongue! I am also a huge fan of the rock work, looks craggy.

I'm glad you think so! I was a bit unsure myself, but that sort of thing really eats up pieces fast!

Thanks!

Oh good, I wouldn't get anywhere without the softener! Thanks!

Well done snake and rockwork! The snake color and shape turned out well, and the rock even has a serpent-like look to it without the snake! :sweet:

Thanks Lady K! I'll have to admit that that last was completely unintentional, but now that you mention it, I see what you mean!

Great snake and rockwork!

Thanks UM!

The judges awarded you 8 points.

:excited:
