My idea/plan for TC7

Quad x Quad aka Q2, aka Quadriciraptor (for badass name). I'm afraid, that it will not be black&white, ant that i will not fit some PF.

First sqetch of idea

This thing will change from something on 4 wheels to quadrocopter

Some version 0.9 is made.

It has power functions:

- big battery box

- XL motor for drive

- servo motor for steering

- L motor for transforming

Size of vehicle - something like XL :sweet:

Functions:

- changing from buggy to qudrocopter

- lovering of roof when in fight mode

- some shooter slides out in fight mode

its weard that the wheels go up. you should do like the pic above

For me it seemed more ralistic. There in the center are planned propellers (static, it would be too difficult)

Front wheels are not powered, right? I cant see is that mini LA or driveshafts,

No. Not yet. Maybe they will be. Its pretty difficult to combine there everything.

But they will be steered. I just fixed them, to see how the geometry operates.

On the bottom there are used 4612100: Linear Aktuator 7-9 M

Added steering

Connected together geometru changig system for fron and rear

IMG_2571.JPG

Then started to think, that i need XL motor for drive, and that geometry motor is too low and in wrong place in general

We had midsummer vacations in Latvia. As I was away from home, there was almost no progress. Restarted just yesterday evening.

The vehicle had problems with front wheels - hubs, becauces they didn't kept wheels in place, they where moving from axle ~+-10 degrees in any direction. They were wobbly.

Here left side rebuilt, right still old original hub. Now it is almost impossible to move away from axle

Started some body work also, but didn't took picture

Nice work so far. And a great idea

I might be an idea to scale it down a little bit and make it more compact.

Was there some size limits?

I wrote about it already, and i thought about it

It is getting too big ...

but i'm pretty limited by 4612100: Linear Aktuator 7-9 M , if i want to make it transformable by mechanisms, not by hand. Also battery box is pretty big. And if i want to add some propellers 92842 Propeller 3 Blade 5 ...

OK, then i'll stay at this size now. Maybe will create some little, tiny brother later.

Size is not the main problem, as I see it, the width is. It looks like too wide for it tire size and for its length, especially the front section. I guess folding mechanism takes up a lot of space.

proportions now are some kind of "optimum". As it transforms in some kind of quadcopter, then wheels have to be somwhere on squares corners.

I'll make some more photos and video later this day.

Small finetuning is also planned.

I like very much looks of this  Nice buggy style and it looks like a mean sand machine  And nice idea to be a "transformer", waiting to see it finished, keep up the good work!

I thought the Bandits couldn't use black...

I think it's ok if it's used in a mixture of other colors, and it's not the predominant color.
