Functions:

  • This mighty fortress includes 2.603 bricks.
  • The inner part of the fortress, the bridge with the 2 staues and the ramp can be removed.
  • You can connect the ramp with the fortress.
  • There are 4 catapults on wall and they have many ammunition.
  • My thought is that the green transparent bricks on the wall, will glow in the dark.
The bricks could look like white bricks at daylight. (like the spiders of mirkwood does)
  • There is the throne of the Witch king inside the tower.
  • Weapons, armor and some magic potion are placed in the tower.

I have seen also your Ravenhill set.

Both are very nice.

Excellent work!

I'll support your projects in lego ideas because they are amazing.

Great projects you have there. James Cook's Endeavour and Rivendell are my favourites, but Minas Morgul is great work as well! Keep up the good work!!

The only question? Why is it ''white'' :P

Because you have no Idea of it. :p

The miniature was sprayed with phosphorescent paint and lit from below with black lights to create its unearthly glow.

This is the orginal miniature of Minas Morgul.

Well movie shows it differently aka way darker, sure we would all assume Gondor did not build it black, but if we take movie colors as canon

It just does not give the feel of a ''white'' citadel......

Do you want to start trouble?

All scene of Minas Morgul are at night or under clouds! And all cats are black at night. I can confirm that, because my cat is white.

I'm prepared for your thought. You will see that white turns into gray when you change the light.

And now I show you the fifty shades of white. :p

This rendering is with 90% light.

This rendering is with 40% light.

And this rendering is with 0% light.

Looks fantastic! You really captured the shape well.

If I could make one suggestion - I think the walls would look a lot better in sand green with glow-in-the-dark highlights. I know the white is more accurate to the minature, but its missing the sinister look from the movie.

Thank you for comment. :D

Well, I sad this allready to saabfan on ideas in german, because he had a similar suggestion. The final coice of the colors should be done by the ladies and gentlemen of the disigner and marketing team of lego. If my project really get into the Review stage.

Until then, I will not change anything on the city. Because many people like it as it is. Only the fell beast could get an update.

My thought is it to build it after John Howe's diesign. It was a white city, and it was the sister-city of Minas Arnor (Minas Tirith) and that should be remain recognizable.

It looks like it'd be a great lego set! Very similar to Helm's Deep in the way

that it is a half circle.

Well Tolkien had many places which are made in circles.

For example Orthanc, Lothlorien, Edoras, Minas Tirith, Gondolin

Really nice looking project! Personally I like the white since that's how the city was built. If produced I think it's highly likely that TLG will alter the color scheme to appeal to the masses, but I'm a fan of your rendition. Nice job on the modular aspect too!

Great work. Looks just like the movie. And remember, Minas Morgul was made by Gondor and was only taken by the forces of Saron(just for those who say that it's not a white castle).
