Hello mates,

today I show you probably the last VW transporter of my series, at least for a while...

It's a sandblasted T2 bodywork ready to be painted.

Below, the bodywork in the workshop...

ItLUG (Italian LEGO Users Group) has recently published the complete story of my VWs and of my VW garage.

Here you can read the complete story: Volks…heaven: tutti i Bulli di Norton74

Amazing idea) May be i should build sandblasted toyota?

but, why did you leave front lights? are they fake metal? :classic:

you should make a signboard "T2 restoring garage"

They are masked in order not to sandblast the glass ;)

If so, I'd take some white or tan boat studs...

The workshop is incredible! Love all the details there.

I had the same thought about the lights- I assumed they were meant to be masked, but my first thought was also that they should be tan.

Beautiful build! :sweet:

Hello mates,

many many thanks for your positive feedback and suggestions.

About the front lights, I left them gray for a better aesthetic result... but your suggestion about a tan cover is right and it's a cool idea. Sure I'm going to test it

very nice diorama, both T2 are awesome...

T2 prepared for paint will look better with Flat round 2x2... paper masking of glasses will not survive sandblasting
