Dorovio Bold is the T-16 Pilot.

After looking closer at the T-16 Pilot minifigure, this seems correct.

Image result for lego t-16 pilot

The helmet also closely resembles Luke's training helmet onboard the Falcon in ANH, which I was planning on using it for. I'll have to order some more then.

Tiree has the red firebird emblem with black shadows so anything with the red emblem really rather than Porkins.

What helmet would you recommend instead then?

Nozzo Naytaan is also the T-16 helmet. Identical to Dorovio but she’ll have a female pilot head.

I wasn't planning on doing Scarif's Red Squadron, but that's good to know.

Blue One - Antoc Merrick (2018 set)
Blue Three - Jaldine Gerams (2007 Dutch Vander)
Blue Four - Barion Raner (Y-Wing Microfighter Pilot)
Blue Five - Farns Monsbee (2006 Wedge Antilles)
Blue Six - Vangos Grek (Jek Porkins)
Blue Eight - Heff Tobler (NA)
Blue Eleven - Larem Joma (NA)
Blue Twelve - Parill Rita (U-Wing Microfighter Pilot)
[Blue Pilot] (Wes Janson)

I think the 2006 Wedge Antilles helmet better represents Blue 2 - Torius Chord. I'm using the Zev Senesca helmet for Anton Merrick, when he comes in the Advent Calendar I'll be repurposing that as Blue 5 (as it's mostly black and the crests are outlines, not printed, so it's less important that they're not visible).

2012 Monochrome dutch vander works better for Blue 3 - Jaldine Gerams. 2007 Dutch Vander helmet would work more for Blue 7 imo.

According to the visual dictionary, Parill Rita isn't a U wing pilot. I'd say it better approximates Calum Gram (Blue Nine). Blue 12 is shown in X-wing/Y-wing pilot gear, but no idea what his helmet looks like as he's standing without it.

Red Two - Wedge Antilles (2016 set)
Red Three - Biggs Darklighter (1999 set)

Red Five - Luke Skywalker (2012 set)
Red Six - Jek Porkins (2012 set)
Red Seven - Harb Binli (Dak Ralter)
Red Eight - Zal Dinnes (NA)
Red Nine - Nozo Naytan (NA)
Red Ten - Theron Nett (X-Wing Microfighter Pilot)
Red Eleven - Wenton Chan (Dak Ralter)
Red Twelve - Puck Naeco (Wes Janson)

Pretty much this. If you're looking for "Scarif" setups, Pedrin Gaul was Red 5, but wore the same helmet. As someone else mentioned to you, Red 9 is close to the T16 pilot. Canonically, he didn't die at Scarif so he'd be at Yavin as Red 9 also. Red Leader/Red 8 not available yet with nothing really close.

Rogue One - Luke Skywalker and Dak Ralter (2014 set)
Rogue Two - Zev Snesca (2017 set) and Kit Valent (2010 Zev Snesca)
Rogue Three - Wedge Antilles and Wes Janson (2016 set)
Rogue Four - Derek Klivian (2007 Dutch Vander) and Kesin Ommis (Snowspeeder Microfighter Pilot)
Rogue ? - Will Scotian (2017 set)

Probably this. Derek Klivian is in the Rogue One visual guide with Biggs' helmet (as a standby, meaning he never actually flew in the movie) but it's not necessarily accurate by the time of ESB and I don't think we actually ever see him fly?

Any extras (Will Scotian etc) might not have been Rogue Squadron, but there were plenty of X wing pilots on hoth to escort the transports. Most pilots had the Dak Ralter helmet from what I've read.

Gold Two - Dex Tiree (Jek Porkins)
Gold Nine - Wona Goban (Y-Wing Pilot)

Gold 2 I'm no so sure about. Gold 3 - Evan Verlaine is a Dak Ralter helmet, and Gold 8 can probably be made with the Will Scotian helmet from the UCS snowspeeder.

Perfect summary. By the way, if anyone knows of helmets for any other Rebel Pilots (from any other squadrons as well), please let me know.

Really? Based on this image, Wedge's helmet seems pretty accurate for Blue 5.

Interesting choice for Merrick as well. Based on leaks, his upcoming appearance in the Advent Calendar looks pretty accurate.

For Derek Klivian, I based his helmet off of this image.

It's like it's totally wrong - just the black goes much further back on that helmet according to the visual guide, and on the sides. Blue 2 is much closer to Wedge's helmet and you didn't list him.

Good find. I guess there's either an error in the Rogue One visual dictionary or he changed helmets after moving to Rogue Squadron. Movies trump the books where there's a discrepancy, right?

According to Wookieepedia, Zev Snesca, Kit Valent, and Will Scotian are all listed as having the Rogue Two callsign. However, Scotian only received it before the Battle of Endor following the death of Scensca, making his appearance in the UCS Snowspeeder somewhat inaccurate. I'm gonna move him to the "MIscellaneous" category for now.

Paril Rita is listed as Blue Twelve on Wookieepedia as well.

He is Blue 12, but he's not a U wing pilot. He is flying an X wing (he has the same chest pack as Blue Leader, Blue 2, Blue 3, Blue 4, etc)

They look fantastic Robiano. What is the fit like once you make the switch? Are they tight and move in the same way to the original or are they loose and flop around?

I get disappointed when I swap arms with my spare minifigs and the fit is bad but to upgrade to these is a huge financial investment so I'd like it to be worth the upgrade.

I was of the understanding that Ritta was a Y-Wing pilot.

They’re a good fit. I’m the same as you... I was worried about adding the arms and them being loose but they’re a good and tight and hold poses/weapons well.

Did Blue squadron have Y wings? I guess they did. I did mention in an earlier comment he was one or the other, but it's odd enough having a group of X wings and U wings together without then having a random Y wing thrown in, especially as we never see him do anything.

I'm just worried about the cost! Finishing up Red and Gold squadrons would be 17-18 pairs alone?

Yeah, Blue Squadron, at the time of the Battle of Scarif, exceeded the general numbers in a squad and cobbled together whatever could be sourced. This included a number of Y-Wings, one of which Ritta flew. We didn't necessarily see any blue-marked Y-Wings during the Battle of Scarif in Rogue One, but then again we didn't see any of Jabba's henchmen escaping from the sail barge in its final moment before it exploded, but we know that happened in the canon regardless.

I'm loving the technician and shuttle pilot arms, but I'm not so sure about the stormtroopers. It would be a big payment for all my stormtroopers - I'm waiting to see some post a pic of a load of them to see how it looks. I don't know if it really adds to the look for me.

Thanks for posting these.

It's sad that the only choices for the myriad headset wearing shuttle pilots/crew/technicians etc. are the closed mouth and open mouth ones lego make... hint hint.

You’re welcome, Rich.

I think I’m going to make an order for another 10 Stormy sets and 10 Rebel Pilot sets. Once I’ve got them I’ll photograph them with their E-11s and the pilots with their DL-44s.

I know the rebel pilot thing might be boring people now... but I was just recapping on some of the pilots missing.

Battle of Yavin Red Squadron
Nozzo Naytaan: T-16 helmet (red stripe added if required). Male head
Zal Dinnes: New Helmet needed. Female pilot head
Harb Binli: Blue firebird helmet. Moustache pilot head (Firestar Biggs head)

Battle of Endor Red Squadron
Dorovio Bold: T-16 helmet. Female pilot head.
Grizz Frix: Grey Dutch Vander helmet. Reddish brown pilot head (Firestar)
Keir Santage: Grey Wedge helmet. Moustache pilot head (Antoc Merrick Advent Calendar)

Battle of Yavin Gold Squadron
Dex Tiree: Red firebird helmet (Grey Snowspeeder or alternative). Male pilot head
Evaan Verlaine: Blue firebird helmet. Female pilot head

Battle of Hoth Rogue Squadron
Hobbie Klivian: Dutch Vander helmet. Male pilot head
(There's a whole host of names for the rest of Rogue Squadron, Blue Squadron and Green Squadron for Hoth including someone who repainted their helmet to look like Garven Dreis. That's a huge minefield.

Battle of Scarif opens up all kinds of things with KIA Red Squadron pilots etc. I'll need to take stock of things there but the list above gives us a decent go at that. I've already got Blue Squadron pilots with the Wedge, Dutch and Porkins helmet ready. I need to get another Janson helmet though.

@Robianco Please stop, my wallet isn't that large

I think I'll just stick with "official minifigs" and won't make all those who require helmets from previous version of figs (like old Dutch and Wedge's helmets)

I just hope they'll continue to use the old helmet mold from time to time, like they will do with Merrick

Ha!. Apologies. I promise to stop.

I'm actually close to adding a few more pilots but removing some of the superfluous figures I've accumulated and just stuck helmets on from spare pilots.

At least an end is in sight.

Indeed! There's no chance of lego adding anything into the mix before the end of 2018... so the only people who can move the goalposts now are firestartoys.

speaking of which, i keep going back and forth on whether having printed arms for only a couple of pilots would help them stand out in a good way or in a bad way. I was thinking of giving them to Gold Leader, Blue Leader... maybe I'll wait til I can make Red Leader too.

From Firestartoys' latest newsletter regarding more pilot helmets (absolutely can't wait!!! Although I know I'll be poor after this haha) in reference to their Jaina Solo figure -

"The custom print helmet was a real challenge, it requires three individual prints that have to line up with a 10th of a millimeter +/- accuracy. The good news is, now that we have perfected the technique, we will be releasing some very exciting new pilot helmet designs in the near future."

Anyway, on another subject, are there any flesh-coloured heads with a single mechanised eye? I know there's a few yellow-headed options, but not sure there's much (if any) choice when it comes to flesh-heads. Want to make an Admiral Screed from Droids, maybe stick him in Beckett's Imperial uniform, but not sure there's a decent head for him.

I know what the next helmet will be and it’s also a Red Squadron helmet. In fact along with the T-16 helmet and the second blue firebird helmet it’s the mast one we’ll need for a full Yavin Red Squadron. Get your female pilot heads ready.

The only flesh head I can think of like that is the old Mad Eye Moody HP head.
