Poomerio Posted August 12, 2007 I don't know what it is, but I seem to have hit a builders block. I'm trying to design a new firehouse, but all my ideas come up as duds, and now I've run out of 'em. Well, maybe I'm just having a bad day. Any tips, perhaps? - Poomie

SirNadroj Posted August 13, 2007 Do some research on what you want to build. Wikipedia, Google, Yahoo, ect. are great search engines that you may find some inspiration on. Perosnally, I'd look through Brickshelf for inspiration.
Berry Syedow Posted August 13, 2007 I often daydream to think of new ideas and then I sketch them down later. I find that when I try to force myself to think up something new with pencil and paper in hand, nothing usually ever comes of it. 'Course it might be more helpful to look at layouts of actual firehouses since it seems like it's easier to fantasize fantasy (unless you aren't going for something ultra realistic). If you don't or have already looked at other stuff for ideas and come up flat then try taking all of the basic elements of a firehouse and squeezing them into different building shapes, eh? highlandcattle Posted August 13, 2007 Brickshelf! Even I you steal somebody's idea, it will always look very differently in the end. I always steal the roof because I'm horrible with them.
