Wrong place for a thread?

Recommended Posts

I'm not a mod, but shouldn't threads that are different shots of a single minifigure be in the Minifigure Customisation Forum, not the Historic Forum? That's what I've been told in the past by a mod. I was told that even if the minifigure being portrayed was themed and purist, it still should be in Customisation. If so, this thread http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=108024 is in the wrong place.

Well what the picture was showing wasn't a custom minifigure, but an already existing minifgure being displayed in a couple of backgrounds. So technically I think it's safe to say that it is in the right place. I think...

OK, what about this thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110743 and this one: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=111167 ?

Why is it that when others post about minifigs only, they get to do so in the theme-related forum, but when I did that my thread would get moved by the mods to the Customisation forum? Has the rule changed?

I think, and have always thought, that threads about a particular theme such as history or space should go in the theme-specific regardless of whether it was a single minifigure or huge diorama.

If the rule has changed, I'm all for it. But it would be nice to know.

It would be easier to tell if you linked to YOUR post that was moved.

For the record, if you see the elf in my signature, I put that in Minifigure Customization, not historic.

I can't. The last time was more than a year ago and the thread has been purged.

We don't purge threads here.

The only thing removed from the forums are spam-bot posts. Sometimes finding your content is limited if you look through "My content" but that does date to beyond a year in time. You can search your content further by clicking the gearwheel looking icon next to the search bar. I easily found posts from 2009 by simply setting myself as the author and looking in Pirate MOCs (Where I knew I posted a MOC a long time ago).
